The Arizona State Museum is home to one of the largest Native Basketry collections in the world. There are rotating exhibits as well as some mainstays that can give you some context and history of Tribes in the Southwest United States and into Mexico.

Mission San Xavier del Bac is a 17th century Jesuit Mission. The architecture, history, and artistry of the building is fascinating. On weekends there are vendors outside of the building selling sweet and savory fry bread to eat.

The desert museum is essentially a Sonoran specific desert zoo where you can read about and view animals such as javelina, mountain lion, prairie dogs, big horn sheep, and many many more.

The mercado is just west of downtown and is a great place to do some shopping, get a bite, and/or have a drink. Just a block away is the sister location called "the Annex" which is a bunch of businesses inhabiting shipping containers.

Barista Del Barrio has some of the best breakfast burritos ever! For around $5 they give you two medium size breakfast burritos with your filling of choice. Make sure you check their hours before going and that you have some time as the line can get long.
