By day the Good Egg feels more like a cafe, and you don't have to book (although you sometimes might have to queue, especially at the weekend). For dinner, it's a good idea to book ahead but it's always worth asking if they have table at the last minute. Lively, dog, child and baby friendly, and just friendly as such. Fine to go there alone and read your book/take your laptop in the day time, although music and conversation can sometimes be a bit noisy. Always several good veg options too.
