Portage is located 5 miles south of Kalamazoo. Portage is a fabulous city and what I love about it is the many different eateries, shops, attractions, and parks and trails that are located nearby. You don't have to drive far to enjoy an attraction, take a hike, and then enjoy a bite to eat and maybe even a movie! There is something for everyone to find and enjoy.
Portage

Things to Do
Ramona Park and Beach is located off Sprinkle Rd with access to Long Lake that is full-staffed, including lifeguards at the beach. Not only is there a public beach, but playgrounds, baseball/softball diamond, basketball court, football field, grill, soccer field, tennis/pickleball, and more. You can also rent chairs, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. There is a fee to enter and for some other items, and is recommended to check for hours. 269.329.4528

At Airborne you get the chance to fly! This is one of my daughter's favorite places. The indoor adventure park has a wide variety of attractions to keep you playing all day. Recommend checking their hours and prices.

Airway Fun has it all for all ages to have fun and hang out. My daughter loves this place all year round because there is so much to do it can be hard to choose. Spend time outside miniature golfing, walking the ropes, or having fun on the go-karts. They have a large arcade inside as well as bowling, escape rooms, laser tag, laser maze, and balladium. Their bowling alone offers a wide range of lanes and experiences, including but not limited to cosmic bowling, alternate reality lanes, glow bowling, bumper bowling, and of course traditional. If you love to bowl this is the place to go-it's perfect for all ages! A taproom is located adjacent to their private lanes if you need to take a break, grab a bite, or have a drink.

I personally love to dine with a water view. Cove Lakeside Bistro is only 9 minutes away, and they offer in-door and out-door dining. They have an assortment of appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks, of course the focus being more on seafood, but they offer a good selection of other options too. They also offer curbside orders by calling ahead.

Brewster's Fine Food and Sprits offers a sporty atmosphere perfect if you're looking to relax, have fun and hang out, shoot some pool, or watch a game. Adults love their happy hour specials, weekly events, and late night specials.

Erbelli's has won multiple awards for their gourmet pizza, but their menu doesn't end there! They also offer an extensive list of subs, wraps, calzones, appetizers, pasta, salads, kids food, and gluten free items. This is one of my all time favorite places to get their hot toasted sub- feel free to ask for changes as they do an excellent job ordering it to what you like! Dine in, take-out, or have it delivered!
