Nightlife and a good bar atmosphere

The Railway Inn is a 5 minute walk from me. It's on Station Road and serves good food and has great friendly bar staff

This is reputedly the oldest building in Brighton. In the main bar area you’ll see a very old fireplace. It’s a traditional pub with lots of character and has a great atmosphere that also serves food. It is also great for people watching if you get a table in the window.

Neighbourhoods

The centre of Hove from a nightlife perspective is around Church Road and George St. There are bars and restaurants for all tastes. It’s particularly great for restaurants and bars if you are not looking for a very late club scene.

Sightseeing

This is a truly unique palace. Building started in 1787 and was the seaside palace for Prince Regent who then became King George IV. It is open daily and has some amazing very extravagant exhibits. The grounds are also very nice to wander around as it’s in the historic older part of Brighton. The adjacent large buildings are part of Brighton Dome & Corn Exchange and also very interesting these were originally a stable block for the King and a riding school. Now a museum and concert/event hall.

A traditional British pier with all the expected entertainment like a fun fair, slot machines, candy floss and fish and chips. Great fun and free to enter if you just want to walk through and see Brighton and Hove from the seafront. It’s open until 9pm from Sunday to Friday and until 10pm on Saturday.

This is old Brighton. It straddles a few very old passages and roads which were part of the historic fishing town once called Brighthelmstone. Lots of lovely bars, restaurants and independent shops to enjoy plus take in the history

Full of character and retro shops. Another very old part of Brighton synonymous with our fishing history and full of old buildings and passageways. Look out for the secondhand stores selling loads of interesting antiques and clothing. Plenty of bars and places to eat here too.
