A lovely daytime wine bar. They put on a beautiful cheese platter. Georgie and Ricky are great hosts and make a decent Gin & Tonic if wine's not your thing.

Great food, wine and people. Erica and Matt started Grace in 2021 and it has been a fabulous addition to the Rutherglen food scene. Try their Milkdog Pale Ale and marvel at the beautiful label design (done by me!)

My favourite wineries

You can’t go past a winery that is a castle. Even if the wines were terrible (they’re not), it’s such a fantastic building and grounds that it is worth checking out just to wander around.

Lovely affordable wine and people in a rustic winery/shed. 6th generation winemakers and some resident dogs make this a must-visit in Rutherglen.

Olive Hills is 10 minutes out of town towards Albury. Ross Perry makes some excellent wines, and it’s a beautiful setting up on a hill overlooking Fairfield House. Try Ross’s delicious Du Cluse wine.

Nearby Trips

Beechworth is a pretty town about 40 minutes away. Bridge Road Brewery is a great place to stop and have a beer and pizza. If you are heading to Beechworth, make sure you visit Yeddonba Aboriginal Cultural Site near Mt. Pilot and check out the cave paintings.
