). A great Italian Restaurant, not so easy to locate (is in Altea la Vella) but is pays the visit. They do have an open big terrace where having dinner is a pleasure. You won´t be wrong with any pasta dish (great are their Spagueti Parmegiano)

Not a very nice place but the best “paella” (rice spanish style) in Altea, it´s not far from the house, 15 min walking but maybe you prefer driving (they have free parking on site) they are on the road to Altea town. Not a very nice place but the best “paella” (rice spanish style) in Altea, it´s not far from the house, 15 min walking but maybe you prefer driving (they have free parking on site) they are on the road to Altea town. . It´s a “chiringuito”, an informal place, on the beach, just 7 minutes walking from the house, nice paella, nice fish…don´t miss their “turron ice-cream” as dessert. Try to make a booking in advance and ask for a table in front of the sea.

For dinner (or lunch in a not very hot day) ask for a table on the terrace. Nice view from the terrace.

On Altea seaside walk (at the beginning of if when coming from our house), we enjoy Rest El Paladar. It´s not the nicest place but it´s one of those with a very nice food. The owner is called Angel, and enjoys buying and cooking the best ingredients he can find, Elena and I love to follow his advice when ordering. You can eat “formal” (ordering a starter, main dish,,,) or just ordering some things to share.
