Hike and swimming hole, a bit crowded on weekends but super beautiful. You can do a long hike from Jamaica St Park or start at Ball Mtn Dam. or, you can drive to W. Windham road and hike down from the top (much much shorter, but can be steep and slippery).

Popular river swimming spot. Crowded on w/e but you can walk up or down the river to get away from others. Also hikes to smaller swimming holes. The trail is kind of past some houses and then down towards the river - ask someone to point it out.

It's FAR! (an hour 12 mins) but it's absolutely gorgeous if you have the time. And super quiet/isolated (you'll have to walk around the lake a bit for a quiet spot, but there are MANY).
Good for swimming, kayaks, fishing, hanging. Saw 3 bears on the long dirt road approaching it.

Relatively easy hike close to Wilmington. Fire tower at the top. You can continue on to Hogback Mt area. Have a beer and an ice cream where you cross Rt 9 and head back, or continue up Hogback Mtn. and beyond. Molly State Park has maps.
