With a mission to preserve regional artifacts and arts, the Nelson museum (affectionately named after an ancient device used to test the purity of gold and silver) is an easy favorite for visitors and locals alike. It’s housed in a building built in 1902, showcasing community history and memorabilia, also selling local artisans crafts. The address is 502 Vernon Street (just up the street toward the courthouse with all the vines) if you want to check it out!
