The train is always a tourist attraction in summer and polar express in the winter. Highly recommend for everyone! If going all the way to Silverton we recommend only doing the train one way, busing home or your looking at a LONG day. Silverton is so worth it!

Rafting is a fun adventure for the whole family! Weather you want something calm for the whole family or super adventurous for great swimmers, they’ve got it all! I used to raft guide for this company MWR and highly recommend them!

For families with younger kids this is a great day option. You can swim in our three pools or climb a 3 story rock wall! I am a manager at the recreation center ask me for free passes if interested!

Lake nighthorse is great for day recreation! They have a wibit aqua park right off the swim beach as well as rent kayaks or paddle boards! If you’re into fishing Go Fish Durango is a great company to book a fishing tour!

Hesperus ski hill is 2 miles from the Airbnb and is great for beginners learning how to ski or snowboard as lift prices and lessons are a lot cheaper then Purg. They also have a tubing hill!
