Our local donut shop. It's hard to beat fresh donuts!! Open early every morning. They sell out daily in early-mid afternoon. Very inexpensive. Walkable from our home! $

This is truly a magical spot on the VT campus. A full horticulture garden often accompanied by art installations and complete with a Koi fish pond. Free and open to the public year round. Great wedding spot!

The famous hotel where the movie "Dirty Dancing" was filmed. Sadly, the lake has mostly drained but the location is a beautiful spot with a variety of activities for both singles and families. A short drive from Blacksburg as well. Live jazz music on Fridays and Saturdays, dining and full bar. $$$
