Good seafood with options for land lovers. Their shrimp Brochette is my personal favorite. Brunch is served on the weekends.

One of the most iconic restaurants in town, the Gristmill overlooks the Guadalupe River and serves generous portions of good food. You can't miss it. Just head for the water tower in Gruene. If you like baby back ribs you won't be disappointed!

Great place for beer lovers with over 25 craft beers on tap. The food is good too! The large outdoor patio is popular with the locals and there is often live music. Parking lot can be tough to find a space so you may have to park on a side street.

Menu ranges from artisan baked goods to breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings with both traditional and “wild” cuisine! Closed on Mondays and only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. Very nice homey, rustic setting for dining. Outdoor patio seating in nice weather.

Housed in an old chili factory it makes sense that they do offer chili from mild to hot. If you order the "Killer" chili you have to sign a waiver. The mild is hot enough for me! Great corn bread too. Live music and an old baseball pinball machine.

Mozie's is more than a bar though it does have a really long bar and lots of TV's for the sports minded. Great food in the heart of Gruene right across from Gruene Hall.

Landa Park offers picnic facilities under the shade of giant, ancient oak trees. Walk or jog on the parks special trails, or ride a miniature train that chugs around the 51 acre park. An excursion on a paddle boat is one of the best ways to see the Comal Springs and Landa Lake. Why not take in a round of miniature golf, relax at the playground or enjoy the flora and fauna on the Panther Canyon Nature Trail?
