We like to walk through Irving Park to get to this sweet cafe. Our favorite is the hazelnut latte, made with flavoring from real hazelnuts. In the summer it's great to sit outside or in the back patio.

This is a great Irish Pub with good pub food, a terrific beer selection and great wait staff, a short walk from our house.

ttp://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Oaks_Bottom_Loop_Hike If you walk across the pedestrian bridge under the steel bridge at the north end of the cherry blossoms – or walk across the Hawthorne Bridge farther south, you can reach the Eastside Esplanade. It’s 1.5 miles between the Steel Bridge and the Hawthorne Bridge. If you continue walking south past OMSI (you have to zig zag at one point around a couple buildings) , for a couple miles, you will reach the entrance to the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Area. (or the Oaks Park Amusement Park on the other side of the path.)

https://www.forestparkconservancy.org/forest-park/ Forest Park is the biggest wilderness park inside a city anywhere in the U.S. It’s got miles and miles of trails. One way to reach it is to take Max Light Rail to the Zoo Stop (the tunnel at that stop is great!).
