Highly renowned on TripAdvisor and beyond. An excellent variety of breakfast and lunch options. It's not the cheapest, but the portion sizes and quality are excellent. There are also a few nice vegan options.

Classical French restaurant and wine bar. Good for a glass of fizz and a charcuterie platters or a full 3 course meal.
Two notable items are:
1. Cote de Boeuf (1.2kg rib roast carved at your table for 2 to share but sometimes requires you to call ahead and reserve one)
2. The most important thing to consider is (in my humble opinion) the unparalleled quality of the Creme Brulee. Guaranteed dessert envy

At the time this Patissier opened it's only sister shop was in a town near Strasbourg. I don't go often, but it's far better than Patisserie Valerie, a chain which has several different franchises in Edinburgh

The mojito is the most original take on the drink I've ever tried and the birdcage is a smoked cocktail that is both delicious and a bit of a fun spectacle.

There is an excellent view of the castle from the west end of the park where tourists often stop and have their pictures taken with the castle in the background. There is a Cafe/restaurant in the park and a small play area for kids too
