The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary preserves a diversity of natural habitats. Several miles of hiking trails allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Wildlife observation, nature photography, and hiking are popular recreational activities. A wonderful wealth of plant life also abounds as both temperate (northern) and subtropical (southern) species grow in the Sanctuary together. The Management & Education Center interprets the Sanctuary's unique natural features for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Brevard County Enchanted Forest Sanctuary

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is located due east of Titusville on Merritt Island, and occupies 140,000 acres, overlaid with the Kennedy Space Center. To the north, it borders on the Canaveral National Seashore; to the south it encompasses non-public portions of the Kennedy Space Center (with which it also shares some history), which in turn abuts Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River run through the refuge. Since public access to all these areas is controlled in various ways, the refuge is part of a very substantial area of relatively undisturbed wildlife habitat. It is also a 'gateway site' for the Great Florida Birding Trail.

If you're feeling a little wild, try the Asian Lionfish, served whole and fried. Delicious, mild fish. One of my favorites.

You can relax and enjoy a drink while watching the fishing boats come in and hang their catch or watch the cruise ships go by. Seafood is their specialty with local catch of the day coming straight in from the ocean.
If you're feeling a little wild, try the Asian Lionfish, served whole and fried. Delicious, mild fish. One of my favorites.

They offer a brunch menu on Sundays 10am-1pm with free Mimosas. This is my favorite place to go for brunch with items such as the Carribbean Sunrise (grilled mahi with black bean and corn salsa served with scrambled eggs and potatoes) or the Crab Cakes Benedict (english muffins topped with crab cake, poached eggs, and hollaindaise sauce).

Live music on the weekends. Only 10 minutes from our house. It's a nice place to eat and have an extended stay listening to music on the deck. Shiloh's closes at 10pm during the week and 11pm on weekends.
