You could spend a while day at this historic house and working estate, and not see it all. An impressive mansion and Home Farm. Wander through the grounds, designed by Capability Brown, take a guided tour of the house, have lunch in the restaurant, or grab a lighter bite in one of the cafes. Hosts the local Park Run on Saturday mornings.

My friend Sara set up her own pottery studio, in the pretty nearby village of Bourn, last year, and has very quickly made it a going concern. She offers private studio pottery sessions - you can book a one to one session to learn how to throw a pot, or a group session making whatever you fancy as a family. Booking in advance essential https://www.bournpottery.co.uk/

Parks & Nature

A family favourite, which we visit throughout the year. Although this National Trust property is primarily known for it's Jacobean house and working watermill, we wander the grounds every season and there is something for everyone all year round. The winter lights are spectacular but were sold out in July last year, so book early! https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/anglesey-abbey-gardens-and-lode-mill
