County park 5 minutes from The Bowman House; nice little lake for kayaking or canoeing, small beach in the summer. Hiking trails. They sometimes have moonlight hikes when there is a full moon.
The park is 2,695 acres of mostly wooded land with 20 miles of trail suitable for mountain bikes. The trails are primarily single- track and challenging.

Biking, Hiking, Kayaking
The Bowman House is a great place to stay if you like to bike, hike, kayak or canoe. Allegheny river, French Creek, Two Mile Lake, Lake Wilhelm are all within easy reach. The Bowman House is a very rural setting, with an abundance of safe, low traffic roads that create various length "loops" that radiate from Bowman Road. Local parks provide paths for mountain biking and hiking.
The village of Sunville is just one of many local, history filled villages that you can easily bike to from The Bowman House.
