Offerta gastronomica

Riparbella is a small village but has 3 interesting restaurants: - Ristorante "Il Papero" - It is a famous restaurant. Here you can find some food from the ancient traditional tuscan cuisine, dishes that you can’t find in other restaurants. The price it’s in line with what offered. - Trattoria "In Cantina" - It’s like to eat to my granma: traditional dishes in a familiar place. The owner, named Chiodo, is an expert of grilled meat. Taste his special peaches tiramisù. Standard prices. Restaurant-pizzeria “L’Oliveta” – If you want to eat a pizza at home you can order here and take away it. Low prices.
Riparbella is a small village founded before 1.000 B.C. on the pleasant hills of Maremma, but previously the ancient Romans placed a settlement in this area of olive trees: the name derives from the Latin “Ripa Albella” that means “White Riverside” and probably refers to the colour of some rocks in the area of the Cecina river. In the small village of about 1,500 inhabitants, there are main services such as a pharmacy, two grocery stores, a bank, four restaurants and a take-away pizzeria.

Etruscan Wine Route

There's a road called the Etruscan Wine Route: it starts from Riparbella and it ends in Suvereto, passing Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Casale, Bibbona, Bolgheri e Sassetta. This area produces world-class wines (Sassicaia, Bolgheri Superiore, Montescudaio, Masseto, Paleo, …) and has the most beautiful wineries in Italy (Tenuta San Guido, Bolgheri Castle, Cantina Petra, Tenuta Argentiera, Ornellaia, Cantina O.T., …). The cellars frequently offer wine tastings and local products, such as ham and cheese.
