A popular place to hang out in the summer, and popular spot for watching northern lights in the winter. It´s very nice to relax by the beach, take a walk, play some volleyball, have a barbeque, or a swim if you like cold water. Can be a bit windy.

Lots of beautiful arctic flowers. A nice place to take a quiet walk in the summer. There's also a small cafe open in the summer: from 01.06-01.09. at 11:30 to 15:30

The most beautiful beach in Tromsø. It´s a 40 minute car ride, but well worth it on a sunny day. Snowy mountain tops nearby provide an astonishing atmosphere. Remember to bring some coins: 20 NOK for parking + 5 NOK for each toilet break. Camping is also possible for 50 NOK. Oh, and the water is of course usually really cold :)

Northern Lights! Right between the Kindergarten on Dramsvegen there´s a small road/trail that will take you to the nearby ski jump hill. Just follow the trail for 5-10 minutes. It´s the best place to watch northern lights nearby the apartment. I recommend bringing some headlights or flashlights, because it´s usually pretty dark there.

Bus Stop 1 minute away, just across the street from the big yellow building. Take bus 24 to the city centre (sign: Kroken sør), or to Jekta shopping centre (sign: Giæverbukta). The bus stop is only on one side of the road, so buses in both directions stop at the same stop. Make sure you get on the right one :)

Shopping
Handmade glas. They have lots of cool stuff. The lamps over the sofa table in the apartment are made by our former tenant who used to work there :) Most things are also quite expensive.
