One six-pack purchased to support local beer introduced me to Brewmaster Daniel Maerzluft. Over a decade and a few different breweries later I'm still recommending his beer to people. I'm a big fan of the Milk Stout and the Nut Brown Ale.

This brewery was a good addition to Charles Town, WV. I would personally like to see them get a better variety outside of IPA's and hop heavy brews, but the beer is good. It's a great place to relax and hang out.

Finding this brewery is an adventure in itself, but it's worth the trip. This brewery is very laid back, and they have food trucks that park outside.

This was one of the first hikes my wife and I took when we moved to the area. While I don't get up there as often as I'd like, I would recommend this hike to anyone who wants a great view of Harpers Ferry, WV.

This is a decent drive from Charles Town, WV, but I love this park. The overlook at this park allows you to see multiple counties across multiple states. There's something relaxing about this park that words can't describe.

I have to give Weaver Park the spotlight, because I've spent time playing rugby here and coaching rugby here. It's not a spectacular park by any means, but it does have sentimental value.

This is my pick for lazy kayaking. It has a no-wake zone, so boats go slow through this area. You could put in here and float to Harpers Ferry if you wanted to.
