Casual place, solid Greek food. I’m obsessed with their Greek fries. Also their seafood and lentil soup are awesome choices. They can get very busy during peak hours, so reservations may be a good idea.

You feel like you’re in Havana when you dine at Cubana Cafe, and I’ve been to Havana. Great food, drinks, music, and friendly staff. I haven’t had one bad meal here.

This may be one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in New York City. Expect to wait during lunch and especially dinner, so it’s best to go before you’re hungry! Cozy outdoor patio in the back. For dessert I recommend the prunes and mascarpone (doesn’t sound as appealing as the others, but it’s absolutely delicious).

This former Italian Social Club is just around the corner from the apartment. Although it’s located on one of the busier streets, the storefront is not that noticeable. Cool vibes, good crowds, great spot for a late night drink. Open until 2am and cash only.

Fun place not just for shuffleboard, but other boardgames as well. Great music, sometimes you can even catch a live band. Even there’s a wait, grab a drink or two at the bar.
