This famous medieval city offers great restaurants, bars & nightlife. If you come in July, Avignon hosts its world-famous arts & music festival, but the place is buzzing all of the summer. It's best to park in the free Park+Ride area called "Les Italiens" - in the summer, forget the free shuttle bus and walk: it's quicker (1.5km).

Hire a kayak in Goudargues, or simply go to any of the little beaches to be found between Goudargues and Montclus. The best swimming spots are at La Roque sur Cèze and at La Bastide (close to Goudargues).

Only half an hour from our gîte, this small town has a wonderful beach for swimming and kayaking. Drive up the gorge towards Vallon Pont d'Arc for magnificent views.
