Getting Around

BartLocal metro takes you to downtown San Francisco, or right inside the airport.
Oyster Point Ferry stop. GREAT OUTING IDEA! Take the Ferry from Oyster Point at 9:00 am, for a half hour ride on the Bay to the San Francisco Ferry Building, the iconic Clock on the Bay. Tuesday Farmers Market, great food, wine, ice cream shops. Walk the Embarcadero and take spectacular pictures of the Bay Bridge. Walk around the Financial District, Then take a historic trolley ride up Market Street to Powell Street and Union Square Shopping.
Ferry returns from San Francisco at 3:00pm arrives South San Francisco at 3:30 pm

Local heritage. Take Out only. Once a primarily Latino neighborhood, as things change, this little place is still alive. I recommend to go: tiny tortillas, carnitas, guacamole, salsa & you'll have the best tacos. Known for their burritos.

Very local coffee shop in Sausalito, towards the north end so away from all the touristy shops. Best pastries coffee drinks, and sandwiches, beer as well-cool place, the lentil salad is great, just yummy.

The more upscale restaurant in South San Francisco, nice decor, ambiance, nice cocktails. Just been here for lunch and thought the stew I ordered needed to be cooked more. The ingredients were all there but felt like it needed more time to come together. Appetizers and drinks were good. One of the pricier places in SSF. I would try it again.
