Perfect location to enjoy both the beach and the bay in San Diego. I will definitely keep this listing and book again when I return. The place is cute, and very roomy.

The surf studio was perfect for our quick long weekend trip! We didn’t rent a car just took the bikes Kai provides and rode them to restaurants, stores and to the boardwalk. The studio is in a nice and quiet neighborhood but close to lots of things to do. Kai was a great host, always responsive and provided many recommendations!

I stayed for 4 nights with my adult son as we visited family in the area. The place was wonderful for our stay. Mission Bay was just a short walk away, and many restaurants and cafe's were within a 10-15 min walk. Kai and Bev were gracious hosts. We had wet clothing from a beach excursion and put them outside to dry. Much to our surprise, it was cloudy and rainy so the clothing didn't dry. Kai washed and dried the clothing on our behalf - what a nice guy! I appreciated getting to use a cruiser bike to pedal around Mission Bay and the folding chairs for our beach trip. The bed was very comfortable, as was the futon in the living room. I'd note that I'm 5'3" and I was able to sleep on the futon easily, but my son is 5'10" and he was cramped when he tried to sleep on the futon.

Our stay was great, place was very clean and cozy!!! Quiet neighborhood, short drives to airport, beaches, san diego zoo, and many other spots. If we’re ever in San Diego again we will definitely book another stay here. Did not disappoint!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay! It’s new, clean, comfortable, and spacious. Situated in the heart of University Heights, the apartment was just walking distance from all kinds of shops, cafés, restaurants, and parks. The most important feature of the apartment, for us, was its ADA-compliant features and excellent accessibility for those with disabilities. It’s incredibly difficult to find any vacation rental accommodation with these features, but we couldn’t have done this trip without it. We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic attention, support, and communication from Cardo and everyone that could help us along the way throughout the duration of our stay (over a month long!) We absolutely look forward to staying here again in the future!

This place was the perfect beach house! Had all the amenities needed. Drive to Pb was about 7mins. Did a run at a near by park in the neighborhood. Would definitely come back. Thanks Kai & Bev!!

Loved this stay! I was travelling with my family of 7 plus 3 children and this place was perfect for us. Crib for the baby, bunk beds for the toddlers, and even some games to keep them busy. There were enough beds and baths that the adults had their own space. When we arrived the hot tub cover was off and was half filled, so we notified Billy and there was a tech there the next morning fixing it. Thank you Billy! The only thing to note is that it is difficult to find this home. Google maps was saying the address was in one location, so we went up to someone else’s house thinking it was the bnb! We wandered around a bit and eventually found it, just a heads up, it’s not where Google thinks it is! Overall, wonderful stay, would stay again. Thanks Billy!

This condo was in a good location - near the beach and by several shops and restaurants. It was clean and well stocked!

We stayed at this Airbnb for a friend’s wedding. It was perfect for everyone in our group and affordable for all involved. The hot tub was great (pool was a little too cold to swim during the time of year we visited)! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. If we are ever back in the San Marcos/Vista area, we would definitely look into staying here again!

We visited the property with our family recently and everything was so well prepared and communicated! From early check in to the rooms/amenities being exactly as pictured, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay at the property. We traveled with kids and they loved the game room in the garage and the putting green outside. We had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. Extra bonus is that right across the street is a surfer's beach, so we would go down and watch the surfers (and throw some rocks). Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Great location! Walkable to the beach and restaurants. Huge plus to have a parking spot too. We were able to fit our larger SUV in as long as passengers/luggage was unloaded first. All rooms have skylights so keep that in mind if you like to sleep in.

Carl and Vicki's house was amazing! There are 3 bedrooms on the main level (1 master with bath, one bedroom with jack and jill bathroom, and 1 bedroom with bunks). The kitchen/dining/great rooms were great to hang out in as a group. The lower level had its own bedroom with a bath, and the playroom had a futon to sleep on and an air mattress. It was super clean and homey. There were recommendations for things to do in a binder. The hosts were very communicative. The views are spectacular. If you are walking (as we did), note that it's on top of a steep hill, so you will get bonus exercise! This also is part of the reason for the great views. If you don't like walking, there are ubers, too! I was on a girls trip, and it was nice to have separate rooms for all. If I were traveling with my family, this house would also be ideal.

Our August stay in San Diego was truly unforgettable, thanks in large part to our fantastic Airbnb host. From the moment we booked, they were incredibly responsive and helpful. When a small issue arose early in our stay, they were quick to address it, demonstrating their commitment to guest satisfaction. The house itself was a gem, beautifully maintained and in a prime location. We loved exploring the neighborhood and being within easy reach of all the city’s attractions. We can’t thank our host enough for making our trip so enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful house with an amazing view. Located on a hill, we were able to relax on the balcony while enjoying the sunrise, sunset, and stunning evening skies. The indoor jacuzzi with its large windows was also excellent. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and communication with the host was quick and smooth. There’s also a peaceful and beautiful hiking trail behind the house. We would love to stay here again.

This was a great little staycation for our family. The location is amazing, easy walk to the beach and the big pool was so much fun. The property felt like a resort with the beautiful landscaping and welcoming check-in process. The host had beach chairs, a boogie board, beach umbrella and plenty of towels for our family of five to use. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and utensils to cook meals there. My kids enjoyed the library of DVDs to watch while we were relaxing inside. I enjoyed having coffee out on the balcony watching the sunset. It was an easy half mile walk down the boardwalk to the pier. Lots of restaurants and things to do close by, which we were already familiar with since we are from San Diego County, but the host had a lot of information ready for us if needed to guide us around. The condo was so clean and well maintained. We would love to come back for another beach week in the summer.

this was my first BnB experience and it was awesome. Craig responded to my questions quickly and the check in/ check out process was very smooth.

Great location! Feels like a resort. I enjoyed the morning coffee in the balcony with the beach view. My son had ample space to play and watch his favourite tv shows. My in laws enjoyed the jacuzzi after long day of walking and sight seeing. Very close to the beach and restaurants. I highly recommend.

Craig’s property was perfect. Very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The bunk beds were perfect for my kids. Everything was clean and convenient. The property is easy to walk to bars, restaurants and the beach. We went to LEGOLAND and it was only a 10 min drive. We would stay here again! Highly recommend!

El departamento estaba muy limpio y ordenado. Nos sentimos como llegando en nuestra casa, además de ser muy cómodo. El condomínio es muy bueno, organizado y limpio. Tiene muchas amenidades y está en la prinera linea de la playa, perfecto para caminhar y desfrutar con la família. Una lástima que el tiempo no nos apoyo, todos los días fueron nublados y lluviosos, pero mismo así fue una optima estáncia. Muchas gracias Craig.

We really enjoyed our stay! We had a great time utilizing the pool and loved being so close to the ocean! The condo was clean and had plenty of space for our family. My husband and I loved enjoying our coffee while watching and hearing the ocean waves from the balcony. Everyone in my family wants to come back! Definitely recommend!

We went to Vista for my kid's allergy treatment. Craig's place was very convenient offering closeness to Vista, but also steps away from the beach. This allows me to work for the week, attend to my kid's appointments and enjoy time with family at the beach. The condo is well-equipped and the front access (from the condo) to the road that takes you to the beach was really nice since we did not have to walk to the main community door to get out. The internet could have been a bit better. While kids/wife were watching Netflix/Youtube, I had intermittent bandwidth to properly attend work meetings. The heated pool and gym were extras we enjoyed too. Overall great place to stay at.
