The historic Walton Apts is a Registered National Landmark that was built in the 1930s by Architect Guy L. Frazer for the Nursing students at WNMU just across the street on College Avenue. On the Mimbres River, near the Gila wilderness, this two bedroom newly-renovated adobe home sits on the mountainside overlooking the valley. Quiet and peaceful, this retreat is perfect for hiking, biking, and star-gazing. Minutes off Highway 35, a designated scenic byway, it is thirty minutes from Silver City and twenty minutes from Lake Roberts. Please be aware that the valley is susceptible to seasonal flash flooding between June and September.
