Un lugar maravillosos, sin duda volvería La relación precio/beneficio excelente, un lugar muy cómodo, todo limpio, muy linda la decoración, casa amplia, todo funcionando muy bien Fuimos en familia y tanto los niños adolescentes y los adultos no la disfrutamos Hermoso lugar se los recomiendo

Close to the beach, by the river/mangroves. Little pool. Good for a weekend getaway. Surfing nearby at Rosario, Maya Jade hotel.

Our room was very clean with AC. There was a pool right outside our door. This place is actually within a hotel setting with a restaurant and bar. This room did not face the black sand beaches. However it was more secluded and away from the noise. We loved our stay. Town is definitely walkable.

To be clear, this is a hotel which was fine with us. Violeta And her mom , Norma, are excellent hosts. They were so kind to us even though we neglected to call them when we were delayed. They literally seemed to be like angels to us! The food/drink was amazing ! I loved the birds and the sound of the ocean! They told us how to get tickets for the baby turtle release (seasonal). Violeta even offered to give us a ride to a turtle hatchery 30 minutes away when the local hatchery said they might not be an option! The local hatchery was also very helpful. They agreed to help us find a birthing turtle several kilometers away. They charged 200Q to look for turtle and 300Q to transport us at high speeds!

Great location if you love being where the action is/the heart of a place -- right outside the hotel is the local food market and across the street is the town square. The place was squeaky clean and well cared for. The air conditioning worked great (really helped in the hot and humid climate), and there was not only hot running water in the shower but actually hot water at the sink too. Jorge was generous about allowing us to explore his rooftop with his various agricultural projects (beekeeping, pineapple growing, etc.), and answered all our touristy questions about the area and general interest questions about agriculture in Guatemala. Jorge and his partner Maryland were overall welcoming, and put up with my inadequate Spanish (Jorge speaks excellent English though). Would definitely stay there again! Btw, the hotel and the town square were not on gmaps, just go to Taxisco and ask anyone where the town square is (and identify the building from the pic).
