Our off-the-grid, solar-powered cottage is nestled within our 18 acres in the town of Washington, Maine. The cottage borders a beautiful stream, is surrounded by tall pines and is several hundred feet away from our home, providing a very private and serene experience. Guests can wander or snowshoe on our property, relax in the screen house next to the cottage or hang by the accessible fire pit. We are close to many local lakes and hiking trails and only 30 minutes from Camden & Rockland.

Blue Life Farm is an entirely private three acre property with an off grid cabin. Close to lakes and rivers for swimming, boating, and fishing. It's only 20 miunutes to the costal town of Belfast, and 45 minutes to the city of Bangor. The cabin has a full bathroom with on demand hot water, kitchen including all utentsils and a good-size covered porch and deck. The cabin is powered by solar, and propane for on-demand hot water and built in stovetop and uses an efficient composting toilet.

To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

Try our new outdoor shower byilding. There's a composting toilet indoors which works well & smells not at all. You will be the only ones with access to it. Off grid , no running water. We provide 5 gallons outside for dishes, and 2 gallons inside for cooking. Bring your own cooler. . Solar powered led lights inside , Primitive composting toilet is located in an outhouse.
