Wir hatten die „Treehouse Cabana“ und es war wundervoll! Diese Unterkunft war bis jetzt die Beste, die wir auf unserer Reise hatten. Auf dem großen Balkon hat man seine komplette Ruhe und Privatsphäre. Wenn man Glück hat, kann man von dort aus super die Affen beobachten. Die Meereebrise und das Meerrauschen, welche einen in den Schlaf wiegen, sind das absolute Highlight. Die Gastgeber Raphaela und Sudu sind überragend. Auch das Personal macht einen super Job. Man fühlt sich sehr umsorgt. Das Frühstück ist unschlagbar und es gibt guten Kaffee! Die BBQ-Safari ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis! unbedingt machen! Auch die Lage ist unschlagbar. Überall ist man sehr schnell, ob zu Fuß oder mit dem Roller. Wir können die Unterkunft aus vollstem Herzen empfehlen. Perfekt zum Seele baumeln lassen und abschalten!

Cheap. Nice location. Comfy big bed. Room smelt a bit damp is only drawback. Good shower. Good location.

Had a lovely stay! Breakfast was great and the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Check in and communication with Ingrid was very easy and she provided a whole host of recommendations upon our arrival. Would defo stay again!

Klein resort op rustige plek aan het strand. Heerlijk dat er een zwembad is en genoeg stoelen en ligstoelen. Ook in zee kun je heerlijk zwemmen. Er is een restaurant met keus voor een nette prijs. Wil je ergens heen dan moet je een tuktuk nemen. Enige minpuntje zijn de matrassen. We hebben op zich goed geslapen, maar de matrassen hadden een duidelijke kuil.

Für das Preis Segment von Ella ein wahres Schnäppchen! Es war eine Wohltat dem Rummel von Ella zu entkommen und die Ruhe und die unglaubliche Sicht von der Unterkunft aus zu geniessen. Sie ist sehr schön gelegen und nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuss von Ella entfernt. Die Hütten sind gross, sehr praktisch eingerichtet und haben einen tollen Balkon. Das Moskito Netz war einwandfrei. Anil war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns erklärt wie wir am besten wohin kamen. Auch hat er uns einen günstigen Transport in den Süden organisiert. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und extrem lecker.

Une chambre et des terrasses merveilleuses, avec des hôtes attentionnés qui prennent le temps de parler avec vous. Un très joli jardin/jungle juste devant notre porte, ce qui nous a permis de voir iguanes, toucan, geckos, grenouilles,.... Des repas tout aussi exceptionnels. Le fils d'Asela est très curieux et est venu jouer avec nous pour prendre quelques photos. Son chien est un véritable amour, très joueur, câlin, mais aussi très respectueux et sait rester à distance s'il le faut. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés ce logement !

We stayed at Saman’s place in Ella during our trip, and it was a lovely experience! The room was basic but very clean and cozy, perfect for a comfortable stay. The real gem here is the view — simply breathtaking! From our window and private balcony, we had a clear view of the lush mountains and a beautiful waterfall. Honestly, we could’ve just sat there all day soaking in the beauty of Ella. Although the property is located on a hill, it’s easily accessible by tuk-tuk. We also enjoyed walking downhill through the scenic tea gardens to reach the town — such a peaceful and picturesque route! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying every morning. Saman was a super responsive and kind host — always quick to help with any questions. He even arranged a tuk-tuk for us early in the morning to get to the train station, which was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape in Ella with unbeatable views. #coupleexploration

We stayed one night here between Galle and Ella. Sanath arranged the transport for us which was very nice (and a super safe driver!l). The room is very clean. The family of Sanath is so friendly and made us feel really at home. It was possible to have diner and it was the most delicious of Sri Lanka we had till now. In the morning we did a safari. Sanath is really good driver and ranger and we were so Lucky to see small baby elephants. We all loved it!! thanks a lot for everything! We will remember it for a long time.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, superfreundliche Gastgeber und auch das Personal ließ keine Wünsche offen! Im Restaurant gab es eine grosse Auswahl an leckeren Speisen, ein kostenfreier Wasserspender steht den Gästen ebenso zur Verfügung! Auch die Auswahl an Getränken war hervorragend, von Lime Soda über Bier, Hausgemachten Säften, Longdrinks und Cocktails alles da was das Herz begehrt…. Die Zimmer sind mit liebe eingerichtet, tiptop sauber und mit Klimaanlage sowie Ventilator, Safe und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Direkt an das Grundstück angrenzend erwartet den Gast ein kilometerlanger wunderschöner Strand. Eine Wildlife Tour würden wir jedem der hier Urlaub macht dringend empfehlen, der Sunset mit Picknick auf dem Elephant Rock war sehr schön! Dringende Herzensempfehlung hier ein paar Tage zu verbringen (auch in der Nebensaison!!)

We had a fantastic stay here. The property was exactly as described—spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and just like the photos. It’s in a perfect location, tucked peacefully between Dickwella and Hiriketiya, with both easily walkable. It felt private and quiet, yet close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The hosts were excellent—super responsive and flexible with check-in and check-out, which we really appreciated. They also kindly left us a bottle of wine to help us celebrate a birthday, which was a really thoughtful touch. The property is very well maintained and cleaned daily, which made the stay even more comfortable. Manoj, who was on site, was always available to help—offering local recommendations and even assisting with the next stage of our trip. We also really enjoyed watching the monkeys jump in and out of our pool! Overall, a wonderful place to stay and one we’d happily return to. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed staying here very much! The house and the rooms are very nice, ideal for someone working remotely as the coworking space is great and the WiFi works very well!

Piumis Unterkunft war traumhaft schön. Ein sehr neues und modernes Haus mit derzeit vier Zimmern. Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer und waren sehr zufrieden. Bisher die sauberste, die wir hatten. Der Garten war gepflegt und mit einem schönen neuen Pool ausgestattet, welcher täglich gewartet wurde. Piumi hat uns täglich (gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis) ein leckeres Frühstück gezaubert. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft von Herzen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Such a gorgeous resort and hidden gem! Our room was clean and very comfortable, with a huge bed and large open shower. We stayed in many places in Sri Lanka but this was definitely one of our tops - wish we could’ve stayed longer! Food was also really nice, and very easy check in and check out process.

We had the most wonderful stay at this place. The family who hosted us were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The place is amazing, clean, beautiful and the fleshly prepared food was absolutely delicious, and it truly made our experience in Sri Lanka even more special. If we ever return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely make sure to stay at their place again. Thank you so much for everything – we can't wait to come back!

From before arriving Rivindu was super helpful with airport taxi and recommendations. The team at the house where even more amazing always helpful, friendly and doing their most to cater to our asks. From organising taxi/tuk tuk, cooking dinners and breakfast. Keeping the place clean. We had a power out due to a light raining period but everyone was on it fixing issues putting the back up solar generator on as the electric mains was down. This was only a small bump but the house didn't feel it much. The bed was super comfy and great pillows. We had breakfast in the pool and at the picnic table with the food being as nice as the views. Fresh fruits, drinks, eggs and toast. One night we had the seafood in latter, honey pork and Tom yum soup. It was super tasty and I'd recommend the Soup but only if you like it spicy! Amazing team, house, views and location to relax and unwind. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Ali Weta. Our room was spotless and came with an incredible view over the fields, which made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The pool just in front of our room was very clean and in great condition, perfect for cooling off during the day. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and easy to reach whenever we had a question. We really enjoyed the food, especially the rice and curry in the evening with its variety of tasty side dishes. We also booked our safari through Ali Weta and would definitely recommend doing the same. Of course, how much you see always depends on a bit of luck, but the team seemed experienced and gave us good advice on whether to go in the morning or evening. A special thanks to our guide Sami, whose friendly and open nature along with all the interesting info about the animals really made the safari memorable. All in all, a great experience and a place we would happily recommend.

This is a stunning spot a few minutes walk from Horseshoe Bay. Great decor, clean and really peaceful spot. Geraldine and Joshua looked after us brilliantly. We would definitely rebook. Only thing to note is that aside from (super delicious) breakfast there is no drink/food on offer for the rest of the day unless pre-arranged. But you can easily buy in the nearby supermarket and store in the fridge.

I spent a week at Meraki and loved it! Every detail—like a flower on the toilet paper, comfy pool cushions, pristine garden, and fluffy towels—added a personal touch. As a small, family-run hotel, Meraki stands out from large chains with genuine care from the owners and staff. On my first solo trip as a woman, I felt completely safe and welcome. The hotel’s design perfectly suits my taste, and I only wished my stay was longer (special thanks to Iona for accommodating a special wish of me!). The pool area is relaxing, and the yoga sessions were very nice (also for a beginner)! With an ideal location near the sea and attractions, plus an excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruits + a la carte options, and fantastic coffee, Meraki truly impressed me. Huge thanks to the entire team! Every single team member was treating me with kindness and I really appreciate this a lot 💚 in my opinion this is the perfect place to be in Sri Lanka’s south coast!

Very kind and attentive staff. We felt very welcomed at Kandé. Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner are a must to try, one of the tastiest Sri Lankan food we tried so far. Only thing is you can hear the people in other rooms very clearly, luckily everyone goes to sleep very early so it was not a problem in the night :) another thing to consider are the dogs if you are afraid of them since there are several on the property and they hang out in the entrance and restaurant area. Very nice architecture and furniture/decoration pieces, very warm and cozy surrounding. Highly recommended! :)

Very lovely and clean place to stay the night after a long travel day and very close to the airport!

We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful place and felt right at home. Everyone in there was kind and friendly. We ate always there and it was all delicious. Our room was perfect with a wonderful view. Suggested! We will come back for sure. Thank you everyone and special thanks to Ravindu!

We stayed a week at Slow Life boutique hotel. It felt very safe and contained . Our room was lovely upstairs with a little balcony ,air conditioning and our own bathroom. Everything was very clean our sheets and towels were changed . The common area was available but when in the hotel we spent more time in our lovely cool bedroom. Marissa was interesting to explore . The southern end of the beach was a lot calmer to swim in. It was great watching the surfers at the northern end of the beach . The only thing that wasn’t available was facilities to cook our own food . But that was fine as there were so many lovely places to eat in Marissa. Our hosts organised a scooter for us to use . Thanks very much for everything.
