Ferienunterkünfte mit Kamin in Starved Rock State Park

The place is in a nice neighborhood. Easy to find. It was just me and my three small dogs, but seems like it would be a great spot for a family. I was really grateful for the garage for my vehicle. I stayed in the master bedroom. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen is nice and has everything you might need if you were going to cook, etc. I didn’t communicate with Kamran during my visit, but had some communication after checkout. Kamran had discovered that the storm door bracket hinge was damaged where it attached to the wood frame. I did not cause this damage. He wanted to check if I knew anything about it. I let him know that I did not. He was very respectful. I would stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

This is a very beautiful house with TONS of space, big and perfect for my healing retreat, I hosted 9 ladies, the backyard is huge plus there was an outdoor event area. The place looked exactly like pictures, clean, host was responsive and polite. The house is very relaxing and peaceful. I would definitely recommend!

We come from Chicago a couple times a year to hike at Starved Rock, Matthiesen, etc, so we thought we would try staying for a full weekend. This place was the perfect fit. It was pet friendly, so our dog could come along, and it had great amenities at the resort. The staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Great spot if you have a group of ~8. We didn’t want for anything (plenty of dishes, filtered water, well stocked kitchen, ect) and everyone was able to be included in each space. Large dining table was great for sharing meals and playing games. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was a welcome addition and was very clean/well maintained.

It was easy to find the house and checkin. The house was even more beautiful than the photos, especially the front rooms with the picture windows. The woodwork is incredible. We really appreciated the immaculate fenced-in yard, since we were traveling with two dogs. There’s also a great donut shop about 3 minutes walking distance, and the Main Street is full of options for dining and shopping. The only thing to note is that the bathroom sink had a very low flow (although the water pressure in the shower was great). Would definitely stay here again!

Great place, very cosy, remote and peaceful. Full bed, lots of blankets, hot shower, kitchen stocked with utensils, and a lovely sitting room. This is an upstairs apartment from a home but it still feels private. Samuel gave us a tour of the farm- such an inspiring place, and a fascinating story. We were honored to visit and can’t wait to come back in the spring!

No complaints! Suggestion TV upstairs, more dishes (plates) would be nice and to have silver ware would have been good also. Lastly since I was staying with my daughter and her boy friend having a way to close door to bath area would be great. Will book again!

Positives- Cozy king-size bed and pillows. Jetted tub w comfy robes a plus! Enjoyed a bonfire at one of the fire pits available on the property. Amy responds very quickly to any questions! Microwave only and smaller fridge on-site so come prepared as needed for food/beverages/cookware. Only negatives-Not a lot of “lounging” furniture (more modern couch and wooden chair only in living room) and would be nice if there was a tv available in the loft area but not needed if you’re out hiking or site-seeing for much of your stay. Also probably would not have enjoyed ourselves as much if all cabins and units available were occupied. Quite a bit going on there between I’m guessing two city lots. Was nice to seemingly have the place to ourselves though! There are a number of restaurants in walking distance. We really enjoyed sandwiches from Bruce and Ollie’s for lunch. Overall great stay and would recommend as an alternative to Starved Rock Lodge or other Utica visiting needs.

Very nice place. I’d love to come back and try another cottage or stay in the same site. Clear instructions/communications. Perfect location/distance from highway (came from Chicago). Really good food nearby. Quiet time and privacy - great for a peaceful getaway to recharge and reconnect. Clean and organized space.

A wonderful cottage just a few minutes away from Starved Rock State Park. The cottage is very modern, private, and comfortable. Also, Amy is very friendly and extremely responsive to messages. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and private stay with plenty of room.

This place fit our needs just perfectly. Multiple private rooms since we were a group of single adults but with a nice lounge space to have a coffee together and re-group. The rooms were clean and organized when we arrived. The host Samuel was very responsive anytime I reached out to him. He greeted our crew and made our arrival easy and smooth. The place is so peaceful. A total treat when you love nature's beauty. Thank you for having us.

Easy to locate. Super CUTE & CLEAN!! Very spacious and it was very well supplied with everything you could need and more! Felt like an apartment you'd be comfortable living in full-time. We used the hot tub and it was very clean and nice to use. Lorraine was very responsive and we would highly recommend her place for anyone going to the local State Parks!!

We had a very nice girls getaway. The villa was spacious and close to lots of fun things to do.

Great spot to go with friends and family. They have a water park, arcade, mini golf, and an ice cream place. We had a fun time at this resort and would definitely do it again!

Beautiful, spacious home. Had the amenities that were listed. Will need to bring shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and extra rolls of toilet paper, and this is listed in the details. The home was spotless and welcoming for our executive team retreat. How to instructions were provided and worked perfectly. Grateful for this opportunity to share dedicated time with my team in a space that allowed everyone to have personal space even when sharing a room. The bedrooms are enormous and lovely.

The villa was exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious and very welcoming.

We spent two nights at Ellie’s place. It was just as described and it had the amenities described on the post. Ellie was responsive to questions I had and concerns.
