Our beautiful home away from home, where you can unwind and relax in a peaceful area. A perfect place to set up base to explore all that Strahan and the West Coast of Tasmania has to offer. Full kitchen, recently renovated main bathroom with toilet, shower, bath and basin. Second bathroom has toilet and shower, BBQ, washing machine, dryer, outdoor table and chairs with a fire pot to sit and relax of an evening in a fully fenced backyard. 1x queen bed and 4 single beds to suit families.

My place is a short walk to the beach and the shores of Macquarie Harbour and is close to the The World Heritage area, the Gordon River cruise and Wilderness railway departures as well as the Beach and Great Southern Ocean with the most amazing sunsets and some beautiful rain forest walks. My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers and people from everywhere who enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment and our apartments are surrounded by colourful gardens.

The Lazy Frog Cottage-Close to The Railway

If you thinking of coming to visit the West Coast my advice is to stay 2 or 3 nights in Queenstown which is the centre of the areas 5 towns. Queenstown is very affordable and staying in one place saves on multiple cleaning fees. Below there is a full list of ammenities in the town of Queenstown. Other towns do not have these same ammenities but offer a variety of unique must see attractions which are all less than an hour away. We do accept guests for a single night stay as well.

Harbour Lookout - 2 bathrooms

Harbour Lookout is perched high on the button grass hills that surround Strahan. The house is filled with natural light, offering magical views of Macquarie Harbour and across to the Cape Sorell Lighthouse. Set on 30 acres and just a short 2 minute drive (1.7km) to the town centre. Bird watchers will love the seasonal fly in fly out visitors feeding from our native garden, and there are many amazing westerly sunsets over Cape Sorell, Ocean Beach and Macquarie Harbour to photograph.

Strahan House

From this prime position at Regatta Point, overlooking the West Coast Wilderness Railway Station, across Macquarie Harbour and to Strahan Village, this fantastic self contained luxury three bedroom home is the ultimate getaway. With fabulous views of the water, trains and cray boats you can relax and take a breath in this magnificent hexagonal living/entertainment area with large viewing windows that have been built into its three northern sides. All three bedrooms have water views.

Tasman Cottage - 4 mins walk to downtown Strahan

Welcome to Tasman Cottage, your escape in the beautiful harbour-side town of Strahan. Built in the '20s, relocated in the 60’s, and now fully renovated - Tasman Cottage sits atop the Strahan cliffs overlooking Macquarie Harbour. Enjoy under-cover parking, your own fenced yard and patio, reverse-cycle AC, full kitchen and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. A 5-minute walk from IGA, Hamer’s Pub, Gordon River Cruises, and Australia’s longest-running play, The Ship that Never Was.

Magnolia Cottage is a beautiful 1930's weatherboard cottage which has been thoughtfully renovated to please the keenest eye! Close to town, it is only a 7 minutes walk to all the main amenities. Wake up in the morning with aromas coffee from your Nespresso coffee machine and enjoy the luxury little touches and wonderful comforts while you experience the West Coast Wilderness. For our bike ride enthusiasts - we offer a lockable shed to store your bikes on the premises.

Braddon Retreat

Our newly renovated, comfortable and relaxing home ready for you to come and relax and enjoy what Queenstown has to offer. This home is perfect for families, couples and groups. With a fully equipped kitchen, walk in shower and a bath to relax in, washing machine and dryer, bbq for outside dining, cozy wood heater to warm you up on those cold days, and the most comfiest beds. The yard is fully fenced and can be locked up. Porta cot and bedding is also available.

Police Superintendant’s Cottage - 4 Reid St

The Police Superintendants Cottages is a cosy two bedroom cottage with a spa, an open fire place and a large flat screen TV, there is also a full laundry. The main bedroom has a Queen size colonial bed suit & the second bedroom has three single beds. This cottage was the original the Police Superintendants cottage in Strahan & was built in circa 1880. It has also been used as a lock up and served as a court house in its day as well. Pet friendly cottage.

Farm stay at Lowana, Strahan

A charming hobby farm just 10 minutes from Strahan's center. Our delightful menagerie includes sheep, alpacas, chickens, and a friendly goat. Welcome to Seaforth! A lovingly renovated fishing shack on 10 acres overlooking Macquarie Harbour. Accommodating up to 4 guests. This cozy yet comfortable shack features one queen-size and one king-size bed. The shack has been renovated with a mix of recycled, new, and natural materials. Two outdoor firepit areas to enjoy. There is an eclectic selection of books, records, and games to explore!
