There is a bridge and trails that lead down to the river. There is also a gazebo and fire area on site. Airbnb no longer allows hosts to allow parties or large gatherings of more than 16 people.

Also, if you are a travel medical worker contracted with the local hospital, North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La it is approximately 17 miles away.
