Lovely holiday cottage. Great facilities, especially the kitchen. Beautiful, quiet part of Scotland. We walked every day. Would recommend.

One of the loveliest places we've ever stayed! Superb and spacious accommodation, beautifully decorated and really well & thoughtfully equipped - it will *exceed* your expectations. With the sauna and hot tub, it's not easy to drag yourself out of the house! And to top it off, the view across the loch is utterly mesmerising. Vivienne was a great host, letting us know everything we needed and leaving a lovely welcome pack. The house is in a peaceful location that is still handy for the main road and great for interesting local walks .... if you can drag yourself away! Can't recommend highly enough 😊

Roskhill cottage is awesome. We spent 5 nights here and made our stay truly special. The house have everything you may need and more, the beautiful view and garden filled with flowers, the BBQ hut it’s a great plus, comfortable beds, impeccable clean, good size bathroom and shower, close to little groceries stores, delicious bakery and good coffee, Dunvegan Castle and gardens and fantastic walkings around, plus gorgeous Coos cows! Really worthy place. Highly recommended.

to say eagles rest is a one in a million stay is an understatement, david was warm and friendly upon our arrival. you cannot beat the location and the view. easy to get to and so many wonderful little houses with locally made treats for sale. it was cozy romantic and we both agreed this is somewhere we would book over and over again. the home was pristine and the skylight above the bed proved for amazing star gazing at night. the hosts were wonderful and friendly. i cannot say a bad thing about eagles rest. thank you again!

Located in a beautiful area with all the amenities required. Easy access to the Quiraing hike.

Outstanding! The cottage was perfect: from the views of the three lochs, the castle, and the surrounding countryside to the relaxing and private amenities and yard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the rental and especially the hosts Karen and Graham. We would highly recommend their 5-star property!

Portree was amazing and the cottage was as nice and beautiful as the area

Michelle’s place made us feel right at home. Plenty of space for us to spread out (two couples) and easy to get to many different beautiful places on Skye. We would definitely stay here again! One note- there are two small pods on the property now that aren’t shown quite yet in the listing so it’s not quite as private. This didn’t bother us, but might others if you’re looking for isolation!

absolutely beautiful area. plenty of space for kids and dog in garden. sheep visiting often regardless of the gate being closed. house comfy and cozy and warm. bathroom was stunning and plenty of hot water.

Die Unterkunft entsprach vollkommen der Beschreibung und den Fotos! Der Garten ist liebevoll gepflegt, sehr gross und hat viele kleine Wege zum erkunden für die Kleinen. Uns erwartete bei der Ankunft eine süsse selbstgemachte Überraschung, die sehr lecker war! Es waren selbstgemachte Scones, perfekt gebacken. Die Zimmer und die Wohnräume sind grosszügig, schön hell und liebevoll eingerichtet! Der Wintergarten war einfach grossartig! Man hatte das Gefühl, mitten in der Natur zu sein. Auch wenn es mal regnete, hatte man den Eindruck draussen zu sitzen. Das Heizen mit Kohle und Holz ist einfach und gibt einen schöne Wärme an kalten und regnerischen Tagen! Eine Informationsmappe ist mit allen wichtigen Sachen vorhanden. Zu Fuss ist man in ein paar Minuten am Strand an dem man Muscheln, Algen, Krebse, Quallen und sogar Robben sehen kann! Ord liegt schön abgelegen, eingebetet in grünen Hügeln und dem Meer. Heather ist eine sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wonderful cottage with some great history to it. When I finally sat down at the water front and had a glass of wine I really gave in to how beautiful and wonderful this place is. Great view of the mountains and so many neat little touches to the property. The kids loved looking for sea glass and watching the tides come in and out. The games cupboard was a huge hit with the kids as well as the bunk beds with a full shelf of books. Such a great place to really get a good feel for the area and the history.

We had a wonderful week at Niall's place! It was immaculately clean and looks tasteful and modern, with lots of room to move about. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed including the basics of salt, pepper, herbs, tea and coffee etc. which I always appreciate. Towels were fluffy and it was nice to be able to control the heating so it was just right for us. Finally the surroundings are super pretty - lovely sunsets and views of ponds and into the distance, very peaceful and private. The garden and washing line made things easier for us with wetsuits etc. and parking is easy with plenty of space. Thanks Niall!

We loved the cosy cottage with its beautiful views. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice artwork in every room too. The single track roads are scary if you're not used to them - especially the road up to the lighthouse! But we enjoyed walking along the cliffs from there to the view of a natural arch and sandy beach way down below. I can recommend the walkhighlands app, which has good instructions and you can download them in advance. We particularly enjoyed the Gairloch Beach and Pier walk (although it seemed to be much longer than they claimed) and the Flowerdale waterfall walk.

Location couldnt be better. Stunning views, sunsets, a few steps to the beach. Comfortable and well equipped house, within walking distance of excellent pub (drinks and food), shop (groceries) and community café (weekday lunches). Would highly recommend and hope to return many times.

Fantastic luxury stay . We were blessed with 5 days of blue skies in Skye which was not expected when we booked early January.

Fiona hat uns herzlich begrüßt. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im wunderschönen und gemütlichen Fossil Cottage. Die Umgebung ist herrlich, ruhig und naturnah. Man kann die Natur von drinnen beobachten oder vom Cottage aus zu Fuss die atemberaubende nahe Umgebung erkunden.

Honestly, the perfect slice of heaven. If you are looking to disappear from the crowds, be surrounded by space, and have views in every direction- come here. The house is delightfully quaint, but has all the upgrades you need to feel right at home. For the two of us, it was more than enough room. Restaurants, cafes and groceries with-in reach, but away from the chaos. Eric and Julia were fantastic. Very communicative and helpful, they laid everything out seamlessly. And quick to respond when things arose. We also got the pleasure of meeting Eric, he is kind, charming and an incredible host. This is a home and a host we won’t easily forget, we will be back!

Wat een geweldige ervaring was het om in Harris Cortage te mogen verblijven. Het voelde alsof wij thuis kwamen. Er zit veel liefde in het huis. Verwarming werkte erg goed en de bedden waren heerlijk. Het was ook fijn dat wij de wasmachine konden gebruiken. Onze kinderen hebben heerlijk kunnen spelen in de tuin. Een plek om nooit te vergeten. Dankjewel en wie weet tot ooit!

My friend Irene and I were delighted with our stay at Marble Cottage. It was great for exploring the Isle of Skye. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped for eating in after your adventures. There is a great grocery store called the Co-op, a five minute walk from the cottage. Beds and living room are comfortable. Parking is right beside the cottage. Anne and Donald are very welcoming and responsive hosts. They provide lots of good information for activities and adventuring on the Isle. Donald told us about an alternative Fairy Pools hike which was beautiful. One of our favorite hikes. I highly recommend Marble Cottage. Thank you Anne and Donald for making our stay delightful.

Beautiful lake/ sunset views. Peaceful. Gave easy instructions on exactly how to get there. Be prepared to drive to dinner or bring something to make. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the oven….not like the ones in The US, but we were able to make do. Quick trip into Portree.

The house is located in a really beautiful and peaceful area, with great access to both Lewis and Harris. The house is surrounded by fields (croft), to which you have access to walk and discover the surroundings and wildlife. I really enjoyed walking down to the loch side and along the water at low tide to spot the seals every afternoon. Cathie and Les are great hosts, I had some great conversation with Les about the history of the place, wildlife, and areas to visit. The house is spotless and the view from each window out to the surroundings is incredible . Les said, "this airBnb is to us more than just handing the keys", and I think this resume really well how they welcomed us. strongly recommend!
