Derek was responsive and proactive with his communication. The accommodation is fairly new and generally above adequate. The main thing we struggled with was getting the key out of the lockbox (We arrived after dark which didn't help), but it opened up eventually. Also washing dishes in the small ensuite basin was a little awkward, but these were minor issues for an otherwise comfortable stay. Thanks Derek!

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake

We loved our stay. Great place for extended whanau holiday, plenty of space to accomodate. Many amenities and felt like being at home with anything you could need and more. Serena's soaps were beautiful and such a lovely additional treat Nga mihi nui

We stayed two night with my wife and our 5 months old daughter at Cara’s place, we had a very nice time. The house is well located with an amazing view on the lake. The house is well equipped and very confortable. We would definitely recommend staying there!

Very peaceful farm sleepyout that's fully self contained if you want it, would definitely be able to be based there for longer if exploring Taupo and the surroundings! Great little kitchen and bathroom, excellent shower water pressure. The TV and wifi were a great bonus

The place was absolutely beautiful, would definitely stay there again! It had everything we needed plus more, the hot tub was really nice. Greg was very helpful the entire time too
