Home was so beautiful and very clean and cozy! We got to watch the night sky and enjoy the peace and quiet. The beds were super comfortable also! The only downside was the road leading to it was definitely was a pain even in a truck. Be prepared to go off roading, but the house made it worth the drive. The host was very responsive. I thought I left my wallet and got a fast response back and the host even went to check to see if it was there. If you enjoy being outside in nature away from everyone. I recommend this place 100%!

Had a great time. LaNetta gave us good insights into local items of interest and we really enjoyed ourselves. This provided a very good home base for us to visit Big Bend. We enjoyed using the gas grill every night to cook dinner after a long day adventuring, and the AC was a delightful reprieve. Everything was very clean and in good working order - and the outside bathroom added a dash of difference.

From the time we saw the house from the highway sitting on the high bluff to starting our accent up the dirt road The Perch was everything we envisioned. Rustic with all the modern amenities. Top takeaways would be the view from the deck, the outdoor shower and Spencer's vinyl collection. A friend once told me you can judge an adventure by how often you think about it...it's just been a week but I think about it often.

Amazing stay at this gem! So unique and special, everywhere you look there is something interesting. Truly feels like a whole other planet the landscape is incredible! Great location for exploring Big Bend and surroundings.

Me and my family had an amazing stay. We had never been to the Big Bend area and the house was the best home base. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Janet was an amazing host and the house had everything we needed and more. We traveled with small dogs and the backyard was secure and perfect for them. We also spent hours birdwatching and stargazing. Pure Perfection!

My girlfriends and I traveled to Terlingua for a women's hiking adventure. The property is a little ways away from the Terlingua town. But the views, the privacy and landscape made the distance more than bearable and very worth the stay. All the rooms in the house were spacious and comfortable. Both the front and back patios were very inviting. The house is an open concept which allows everyone freedom of movement. Our beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby both nights we were there. We used the kitchen on our second night for a home cooked steak dinner. All the basic cooking tools are provided. Stephanie and Bruce were very responsive to every message we sent from the time of booking to the time of departure. They offered suggestions and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I would definitely return to Tres Patas at my next visit to the area. The views were absolutely spectacular and we even got to see the Tres Patas bear (from a very safe distance). Book now!

Great stay and location! Only aspect out of place was the pool was unavailable but the hosts refunded a portion back and communicated really well. Would return and stay again!

Definitely get to experience living in the desert. We totally enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and evenings watching sunrises and sunsets. Read the summary carefully. It is very accurate, the driveway is a bit challenging: be sure to arrive during daylight!!

We enjoyed our stay at Stardust Big Bend ! This beautiful A-frame was well laid out and surprisingly larger than expected! Our favorite was all the options to sit outside and enjoy the stars - everything was so comfortable! The bed, the furniture out on the porches and the couch in the main room - truly a spectacular place to stay and visit Big Bend!

The house is very close to the park yet very private. We enjoyed the stars and couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Truly recommend to anyone who wants to go to Big Bend and does not want to camp. The place had every amenity! Book this place!

The location and the host was perfect for us. With the location right in the middle of both parks of Big Bend. The best part was the ability to just get away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life.

The location was ideal for exploring Big Bend and nearby Terlingua Ghost Town, which had a couple great bars and restaurants. The place was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed to cook. Loved having the outdoor space to watch the sky!

Perfect spot to stay while checking out the national park. Very family friendly and very clean

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the A frame which was perfect for the two of us. It had everything we needed. We cooked 2 of our meals and took a little adjusting to the stove top. The stargazing was fantastic, the 2 separate outdoor spaces were great for relaxing. We also utilized the community center which had a pool table, Foosball, air hockey and darts. The proximity to Big Bend was 15 min to the entrance and about 45 min to trails. Our favorite hike was the lost mine, you have to arrive before sunrise to get a parking spot or go later when it's super hot. We went Friday morning around 830 but were too late so went Saturday about 650 in the morning, and there were about 5 spaces left. The hosts were great at communicating before and during our stay. the helpful hints really made our drive and stay seamless. We would definitely stay here again.

My Husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at George’s Air BnB! It had everything we would’ve needed. I will say we wished there was a shower caddy to hold some of our soap/toiletries but other than that, a wonderful time. Gorgeous place with fantastic views!

The cabin was a perfect retreat and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the landscape and really just a perfect spot for sirting out and relaxing at night under the stars. It was a great spot to stay while visiting Big Bend NP!

Terlingua was beautiful and this was the perfect place to be. We were able to see thu sights, relax watching the sky and meeting locals. I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a great getaway.

We loved staying at Camp Elena. Many places in Terlingua were right off the road, and this place is tucked away on an accessible dirt road. Perfect to create the quiet atmosphere for our getaway! The tent was exactly as pictured, clean, and very comfortable. We loved watching the sun rise and set from our balcony. We also loved being able to have fires at night! Our first couple nights, we had some pretty noisy neighbors who we could hear entire conversations from late at night (well past quiet hours). We notified the host, and they addressed it right away. Otherwise, we felt that other guests were respectful of the quiet/calm atmosphere. The host was responsive, and kind. Very easy to get in contact with! We appreciated the guidebook in the tent with how to operate everything and with local recommendations. We would certainly stay here again, and recommend it to others (though…I’d love for us to keep it a secret, so we could have it for ourselves. 😉).

Super cozy and just as described! The surrounding area was beautiful and very peaceful, and the cabin itself was well-stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials, which was great because we cooked all of our meals there during our 5-day stay. Note that there is a water usage limit per day to conserve water in the desert, which was tough for us to keep to since there were 5 of us staying in the Airbnb, but Esteban was very gracious and was willing to be flexible with the water limit which we really appreciated. Esteban was also super communicative and responsive throughout the trip, ensuring that we had everything we needed! Overall, this was a great place to stay and we would love to come back!

Luckily this place was available last minute after another didn’t work out. Tyler was very responsive which I am extremely grateful for. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. I felt safe and cozy in the cabin. Great place to stay if you are visiting the area!

Wow! Penni’s place was in the most amazing location! Surrounded by natural beauty and a great base for Big Bend NP. The cabin was so well fitted out with excellent cooking facilities including loads of herbs and spices, cooking oil and coffee, as well as a large assortment of Pyrex cooking dishes, baking trays and kitchen gadgets such as pizza cutter, tongs and even a small stovetop kettle for tea drinkers like me. Super comfy bed, big shower with good hot water, air conditioners and a large washer and dryer. We ate all our meals on the porch watching the sunrise and sunset and all the birds that call Penni’s place home. And best of all a quiet and highly private spot with no other homes in sight!
