GREAT modern takes on southern food. Try the Hatchery- chickpeas on coconut rice, cilantro, and fry bread. It's super good. Amazing rooftop bar that overlooks the Cumberland River. Also less of a honkey tonk place on Broadway, but great folk, rock, and bluegrass music. It's got 3 different levels and each has its own vibe.

A little bit of a dive, but still clean. Great outdoor deck and really cool atmosphere. My favorite spot in East Nashville.

It's a single wide trailer owned by a guy that looks like Santa. There's karaoke. One of Thrillist's and Maxim's top dive bars in America. It's special. :)

Really good local beers. Relatively new up and coming brewery. Also nearby is Fat Bottom (but Smith & Lentz is a better).

Super solid brewery. Been around Nashville since 2003, much earlier before the craft brew scene took off around the country, so it's stood the test of time. Their Hefeweizen is one of my favorites of that style of beer, and if Yazoo Sue is in season, try that! It's great and a pretty sought after beer. Nice outdoor patio too with a food truck nearby usually.
