A 40 year celebration of being married. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our time together. Many highlights the hot tub view the peacock and peahen dance every night... The night flyover from the herons. Martyn was a perfect host very helpful. Perfect memories thank you.

We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

Lovely time with family at this great cottage. We had never been to this part of Scotland before and Penpont was a very convenient base to explore from. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for four adults - we loved the log fire and the hot tub! The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the beds are comfortable. An excellent place to stay for small groups.

Beautiful cottage. Was perfect for us and the dogs. Fully enclosed fenced garden with a gate down to a quiet riverside walk. The hottub was huge and warm ready for our arrival. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. We only stayed for 1 night so cannot comment on the local area as we did not do much exploring but we noticed a spar walking distance just down the road and a few cafes.

Such a magical place so peaceful and well looked after couldn’t have asked for anything better me and my partner and 2 kids really enjoyed our long weekend there will definitely be coming back

Another wonderful stay at Red Stables. The views from the lounge and hot tub are to die for, you're absolutely in the middle of the countryside and it's so quiet and peaceful. Head to the tub to completely wind down or stay connected via the high speed WiFi if you must! You can stream movies or your favourites on the internet connected Tv. Plus there's a great Farm Shop and Cafe five minutes away in the car. Highly recommended.

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

For what our group wanted it was perfect not a bad word to say about the place, perfect or group weekend away in the country side just what a place!

First class accommodation in a beautiful area. Having the garden is a bonus with lovely walk to the Solway beach.

Had a lovely stay at hilltop cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. The bathtub was amazing, and the little touches like marshmallows for hot chocolate by the fire was a great touch.

Chose the location as we've never been to this part of the UK before. The cottage was ideally located in a quiet village but with 2 pubs, an ice cream parlour/shop and fantastic sunsets on the beach just across the road. The cottage was cosy with everything we needed for a chilled out week despite the changeable weather. Hope to return at some point to visit the places we didn't have time to explore. The area definitely doesn't promote itself enough.

We had another wonderful stay at Lindsay’s cottage. Lindsay was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed cosying up when the weather was bad and just appreciated the peace and quiet. The girls and the dogs loved running around the secure garden and we had the added bonus of seeing some lambs on the hill. We’ll hopefully be back again soon.

Absolutely loved my stay here - it wasn’t long enough! Such a beautiful, cosy little cottage. It was immaculate and beautifully presented, with a very homely, cosy feel. It’s in an amazing location with peaceful surroundings and not too far from all the places I wanted to visit. Sophie was very welcoming and friendly, providing great local knowledge and recommendations. I will differently be back and would recommend this hidden gem to everyone! 2 Calgow Cottages is a fantastic cottage in a peaceful setting with lots of bird life in the gardens. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay, with a well equipped kitchen, lovely inside and outside seating areas, and three good sized bedrooms. Philip and Graeme were really helpful via message, giving recommendations for places to eat and generally being friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this property to others, and hope to stay again on a future visit to the area.

Excellent modern cottage on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet, in the hills up to Galloway forest. A great retreat for quietness and to get away from it all. The hosts are excellent, this being on a farm it was nice to see the animals. Would love to be back someday. Enjoyed having 7 days of sun sitting on that patio.

The house was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. We appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations which made it feel especially welcoming. It is in a scenic and peaceful area with some interesting places to explore nearby. The conservatory and garden would make it an ideal place to visit in the summer. We would certainly recommend this property.

Jims place was perfect for my needs. A quiet location in lovely surroundings. I was working so needed somewhere comfortable, clean and quiet with a good workspace and good wifi. Jim’s place was perfect. I would go back

What a beautiful airbnb home. It had everything we needed with a welcome basket also that Brendan and Rhona had kindly done for our arrival. Milk, jam, butter and hot cross buns for easter. They even had a caffetire of hot coffee ready for our arrival and a beautiful vase of flowers. The accommodation was so compy and clean. Set in the lovely friendly Newton Stuart. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend. Thank you Brendan and Rhona for our home from home. 🩷

Their hospitality made me feel right at home, we had the pleasure of staying during the Easter Weekend where Tracey set out a egg hunt Sunday morning for me and my partner it was a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. We really enjoyed the accommodation and had a good time. Allonby is small and quiet, and it was good that we'd stocked up on food etc before we got there. The views across the Firth are lovely, but we found the landscape apart from that less exciting. (It would be great for cyclists though!)That said, as a quiet get-away, it fitted the bill very nicely.
