Beautiful place! Second time I’ve stayed and they are always super friendly! They make sure you aren’t having any issues especially if there is any change in the weather.

Phillip was a great host, the cabin was perfect for my wife and to really enjoy a peaceful stay. He was very responsive and friendly. Great location! Great Host! Great Cabin. My wife and I will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful location again.

We love hiking so we visited the Garden of the Gods, the Little Grand Canyon and the Giant City Nature Trail. This cabin is in a great location for visiting the Shawnee National Forest and perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking. The grill for making dinner was so clean, as well as the hot tub for relaxing. Also a fire pit out back. The kitchen had everything you could need. Shampoo and conditioner were also provided. This is by far the best Airbnb I have visited, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We had a great time :)

I absolutely LOVED my stay here. The host were extremely helpful we had a bit of a hiccup with my account being hacked and we were able to work right through it together. The area was so beautiful and just 20 minutes away there is a nice little city that is easily accessible full of restaurants, grocery stores and anything else you may need. Not only that but the hiking trails near by are incredible almost reminded me of being home in Colorado. The only thing I wish is that I stayed longer! I will be back for a much longer stay.

Very clean and neat. The cabin is a little tricky to find at first but if you follow the directions, it really isn’t too bad. The hot tub was very clean and the kitchen was too. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip to this cabin in the future.

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat We stayed at this charming, newly built cabin while in town for a family wedding, and it was the perfect home base for our trip. Airbnbs in the area are hard to come by, so we felt lucky to find one that suited our needs so well. The cabin was spotless, tastefully updated, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. A peaceful setting and thoughtful amenities made it an ideal stay for our family.

I rented this cabin for my uncle and my 2 cousins to celebrate my uncle’s soon-to-be 95th birthday. My cousin said it was easy to find and to get inside. They planned to do some fishing and they had a question about what kind of bait they should use in the lake and their question was answered promptly The only area of concern was that there had been some wet towels left in the bathtub, and my cousin said it made the inside smell very “mildewed”. She tried to wash the towels, but the washer was new and needed to be programmed or reset, so she couldn’t use it…. One of the hosts, Jerry, called me (I wasn’t staying at the cabin) and explained about the washer being new. I didn’t fully understand that the issue was the towels had left the cabin smelling moldy until my cousin explained it to me. But Jerry quickly called me to explain the issue with the washer and he said if we needed clean towels to leave the dirty ones outside the front door and they would wash them.

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

I’ve stayed at this place numerous times and it’s always one of the highlights of my trip. It’s close to the lake that I fish and the huge garage allows me to park my boat and truck inside without unhooking. The furnishings are great and it’s close to most everything. Mercedes is great and is very responsive. Looking forward to my next stay🙂

The house is exactly the way its described and more! I'm actually at a loss for words! I can't describe what an amazing location, cabin and host we had for our stay. Very clean and comfortable! It was our first rental and our host Nikki was more helpful than anyone could ask for! It's close to some great lakes, trails and only a few minutes from anything you might need during your stay. And don't feel bad if you drive by the driveway your first time by. lol

Very cute cabin in the woods. While there are neighbors about a 1/4 mile down the road, it feels like you own the entire forest. Great location if you are interested in visiting Snake Road, which is about a 15 minute drive. Also 15 minutes to Little Grand Canyon which we enjoyed!

The only thing is I wish there was more time. We enjoyed this location.

Rosene and Gerald’s place is absolutely one of the coziest and most comfortable cabins we have ever enjoyed. The decor is so welcoming and beautiful and the many special touches were a wonderful surprise. Rosene is a fabulous host. Communication was excellent and it is so obvious that she has a sincere desire for guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay. We had a great time hiking Snake Road and biking the Tunnel Hill Trail. We only wish we had more time for hiking in the Shawnee National Forest and exploring local state parks. Thank you so much for having us! We hope to return!

We were surprised by the amenities and care that Mary took to get the place ready for our stay. She had all the essentials in case you missed packing something and more. She was very responsive when we asked for dinner recommendations. The cabin is right at the entrance to Godwin trail and 1.5 miles from the cross. It is walking distance to the cross as well.

We loved it. The location was perfect for all the sights we wanted to see. The cabin had everything we needed and was awesome!

Loved our stay and plan to return. Beautiful surroundings and sweet little cabin that felt so homey. Host is very accommodating.

The location was great for exploring the western part of Shawnee National Forest. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and me. The inside was very nice and looked as though it was recently renovated. The kitchen had the basics and enough items for what we planned to cook for the four days we were there. Sid, Patty and their three dogs were very welcoming! We would stay again if in the area.

Adams Rock cabin was a great home base for our Shawnee trip! The place looks exactly as pictured/described. We appreciated the Native American decor as well as informative books in the cabin. The location is not super remote, but the large yard was perfect for our kids and dog to play and just enjoy being outside. We particularly enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit! For others traveling with kids, it is worth knowing that the loft bedroom is up a steep ladder without any particularly good way to block the ladder at the bottom or top. The kitchen was equipped with necessities but not a lot of extras. If you’re planning to pack picnic lunches for your hikes, make sure to bring storage containers! Overall, we had a wonderful stay, appreciated all of Mary’s helpful communication, and really enjoyed exploring a new-to-us part of the country!

Best Airbnb we have stayed in as family! Very clean and organized and had everything we needed. The layout of the house was perfect for a mom! My husband and I stayed in the master and the master bath was big enough for a pack n play for our youngest. The 2nd bedroom is right across the hall where our older two slept and everything was open and could be together for meals. The home was bright and well decorated, but not full of stuff and very kid friendly! The property was beautiful with privacy and enjoyed coffee on the deck! About 25 min from family friendly hikes at Giant city State park, and about an hour from Garden of the Gods and East hikes. Would highly recommend!
