Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely perfect for our family of 19 and the vow renewal ceremony we held during our trip. The home had everything we needed and more—plenty of space, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the pool and fire pit, which became favorite gathering spots in the evenings, and the free golf access was a huge bonus for our group. It was the ideal setting for such a special occasion, and we’ve already decided we want to make it an annual tradition. Thank you for helping create unforgettable memories—we can’t wait to come back! Great place to stay. A walk away from the river, and has all the supplies to get on the water. We will definitely be going back.

We had a great stay at Popie’s Place. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable and overall the stay was enjoyable.

We had a great stay! I’d say the place was nicer in person than the pictures and very clean! The stream in the back was smaller than I expected we didn’t spend much time there but the blue hole was very beautiful.

We absolutely loved this place. Would definitely book again! Brooke was very kind and responsive! The house was very spacious for our trip!

This is a wonderful place, tucked back off the road with plenty of wildlife to watch throughout the property! Will stay here anytime I come to Uvalde!

I went back and forth on the overall rating and stuck with a 5 rating since I didn't speak up about my dissatisfaction and allow them the opportunity to make it right. This is a beautiful property that really had the potential to be an incredible stay. The lodge is stunning with a rich history. Clean and spacious. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find out the pool and pond were under construction & unusable. We picked this property for those amenities and ended up only able to use the hot tub. I understand the need to provide safety, but had we been informed prior to our trip, we would have looked for something closer to our family that we were visiting. No credit offered We also had a hiccup with day guest passes. After some back and forth, they were approved, but ended up not being needed since the pool/pond were unavailable during our stay The lodge accommodated the 3 couples and 5 kids perfectly and we really would love to give this property another chance in the future.

My family and I found Susie's place to be exactly what we needed. We enjoyed our stay immensely and intend to return every summer. The cabin was peaceful, spacious, and spotless, with a conveniently located store within walking distance. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The pool was well maintained and ready for us to use.

Wonderful place, helpful hosts, and four year old twins didnt want to leave! Lovely space to recharge, enjoy nature, and spend memorable time to bond with the family.

A gem! The little touches make a difference with my name on the board when we checked in. Love the family vibes of being on private land and the location was so perfect to visit family and make it out to the amazing chalk bluff springs! So happy to have found you we will be booking again.

It was clean, lots of games, quiet and comfortable. When choosing to stay here consider bringing your own pans, other than that it was wonderful and we’d stay again .

Pictures don't do it justice!!! Nice, cozy cabin with everything you need to truly relax for a few days. Great location next to small mountain/hill away from the crowded cabins next to the river. Pool and entertainment area (bar/lounge/restaurant) are just footsteps away.

We loved this cute little house. It was perfect for our whole family. Everything was as described and they were accommodating and quick to respond if we had a question. We will be back!
