We stayed over Christmas, gorgeous house, didn’t need to use the car at all, very central location. Lyn was a great host, will definitely book again.

Lindsay was super helpful from the beginning of our communication and during our stay. The house is lovely and the comfiest beds we've ever had in an Airbnb! Towels were provided and the shower was epic - the men struggled with the low beam a bit but still loved the rainfall and hand held combo. We'll be back for a short stay for sure 😊.

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Really enjoyable stay in a beautifully kept lodge. Lots of amenities nearby and surrounded by picturesque scenery full of cute lambs! The lakeside view is perfect and we really enjoyed showing our little one the swans and ducks. The living space is really big and plenty of room for babies on the move. Abigail is lovely and very responsive

A very nice apartment at a fantastic location. Close to shops and tram-station. Maybe a bit for the center of town, but for us it was perfect. And Jo was a very proactive and responding host.

Absolute gem of a house. Mark couldn’t have been a better host. House was spotless and extremely well appointed. Ansdell is a perfect spot as it’s easily accessible to Lytham and close to Fairhaven. My family lives in Lytham and when there is a big get together we sometimes need to find extra accommodation. This has been the best one we have found so far. Thank you Mark.

Excellent Airbnb with everything as described and to a high standard. Friendly hosts who provide a very cosy and comfortable place to stay. The location is peaceful and close to the waterways and beautiful views and sunsets. Good choice of eateries close by. Highly recommended.

we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

We stayed at Melsmere Lodge for a long weekend. Knowing the area well, I was so surprised to uncover this gem of a holiday home in an idyllic location. The Lodge was stunning along with its surroundings, clean, peaceful and very private but also close enough to local shops, restaurants etc. Hosts were brilliant, excellent communication, instructions and even left fresh eggs and milk for our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 3 kids didn’t want to leave, they enjoyed it that much. If we are back down the Wirral for another trip, Melsmere Lodge would be our first port of call. Thanks again to Greg and Lucy for making our trip so memorable.

We stayed at The Grange Lodge for 4 nights in April 2025 (family of four). An absolutely lovely and peaceful place. Secluded. Quiet. Patrick was a great host. Check in was seamless (as was check out). The place was clean, bright and had everything we needed. Zero issues. Hot tub was obviously popular with the kids. Booths superstore was a 5 mins drive (have everything that you would want) and the town centre of Kirkby Lonsdale was the same distance. Could easily plan our days out from the home as it was pretty much where the Lake District begins and it truly felt like home base. Don’t give it a seconds thought…book the place! Plan your days out in the Lake District knowing that when you come back to the Lodge, you’ll recharge yourselves for the next day! 5 stars all around!

The place was gorgeous, views were beautiful, the pub ‘The Fenwick’ was lovely we walked to and from. Loved the chickens who stayed right by our side the whole stay! Just amazing. Wow what an incredible stay! This is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at, and easily my favorite so far. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. Every part of the property from the cozy bedroom to the charming dining room, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful gardens was thoughtfully maintained and welcoming. We stayed in the Hermitage Cottage, which overlooks the river, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival, which was such a treat. One of the highlights was the peaceful walk around the island, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river flowing pure serenity. Jerry was the perfect host his clear instructions made everything easy and ensured we had a super comfortable and relaxing stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon, hopefully for a much longer visit. It’s the perfect getaway.

The cottage is rustic and idyllic, surrounded by beautiful countryside, trees and nearby lake. The dawn chorus woke us up every morning, and the pigs came to say hello. The cottage has everything you need, and is clean, warm and cosy. As the cottage is at the end of the lane it is very quiet and private, with only a few walkers passing by the front window, but no car traffic at all. We enjoyed sitting out the front eating our breakfast, or going down to the lake later on. The only downside was the mattress needs replacing as a spring has broken, there were a few cobwebs, and there were a lot of harlequin ladybirds, however, this added to the charm of the place. Having Gait Barrows NNR, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve and other fabulous places on the doorstep was great, we are nature lovers and saw otter, deer, avocet and heard booming bittern. Overall, we loved our stay and are already looking into when we can come back again, thank-you very much for an amazing holiday! From Ruth and Ben
