If you are looking to connect with nature in a semi camping environment this is your place. Convenience of home and in a nature setting, the host and help are wonderful. Dirt road in is a very slow ride, definitely worth it.

His place is amazing if you are looking to disconnect, relax and have a low key trip. He is really kind and flexible, the place have just what you need to enjoy towels, clean bedding and ac. Don’t forget to bring your water en shampoo and body wash. I would definitely recommend his place and look forward to staying there again.

Am I sleeping in an art gallery? Or is it a botanical garden? Or a wine making lab? My host in Maxcunú, Adolfo, is a retired university researcher. He’s an agronomy engineer, but has several hobbies he’s passionate about, always focused primarily on the culture and lands of the Maya. My room, called "Tropical Birds", has remarkable works of art, and indeed, the whole property is covered with fascinating artworks. Adolfo volunteered to pick me up and drop me off at the Tren Maya station, which in any case is near town. It's a pleasant small town, safe to walk at night. Apart from Adolfo's own art gallery and botanical gardens and a few places around the plaza, there's not a lot of touristic interest right in town, but it's well located for several Maya sites, caves, and walking in the hills. The facility is as described with all the things you'd expect in a good airbnb. This is one place where conversation with the host is a definite plus, with his extraordinary wealth of knowledge.

Roxana siempre estuvo al pendiente y la comunicación súper buena. Todo excelente en el alojamiento, no hubo falla de nada. El lugar es tranquilo y cómodo, la casa tiene todo lo que viene en la descripción, es amplia y todo muy bonito. La zona es muy tranquila y está a 5 minutos de la playa en carro.

Très bel endroit reculé, le cube correspond bien aux photos et il y est super agréable d’y passer une nuit! Il y a énormément d’oiseaux qui s’expriment la nuit, et c est une vraie cacophonie, nous avons adoré. On a également pu en observer plusieurs de toutes les couleurs. Logement sur la route des cenotes, donc petites activités à faire autour. Aucun problème avec la salle de bain, bonne pression de l eau, ainsi qu’eau chaude, draps de la chambre propre. Venir avec un Suv si possible, la route est longue et pleine d’embûches! Dans les points à améliorer : un petit rafraîchissement justifierait un peu plus le prix (élever par rapport à nos autres logements du même type) les joints du frigos prennent l humidité et sont donc recouvert de moisissures, le canapé est taché, les gardes corps/escalier pourrait être repeint… la piscine ne nous a pas donné envie. Au final, ce logement est magnifique mais il manque juste d’une once d’amour à mettre dans les détails.

There’s not enough words to fully capture our experience, it was absolutely unforgettable. No complaints whatsoever. My one tip: be overly prepared for check-in. Download all the maps (I missed one!) and try to arrive as early in the day. I’m not a camper. I’m a city girl, adventurous, but civilized. We booked this stay because it looked glamorous with just a hint of wilderness. But what we found was something divine. It felt like God lives there. I’m honestly tearing up writing this. The experience was humbling, emotional, and deeply peaceful. It brought my husband and I closer to nature and each other. If you’re expecting a mini glamping resort with neighbors nearby and easy access to the main road, this isn’t it. At night, it’s pitch black. The walls are all glass, and nature stares right back at you. The sky turns deep black, the trees glow, and the leaves almost take on mystical shapes. It’s surreal. I’ve found a new appreciation for being still. Feels like Avatar or Wakanda

I was very happy to arrive at this place, this home is exactly what an AirBnB should be, a complete home away from home. House provided for all essentials and more. Large property lot, lemon and fruit trees, pool and kids pool, barbecue and even shampoo and conditioner, cooking essentials and much more. Ac worked great and bedroom sheets were just so cozy. Nicely decorated touches too. Location wise was also great, a little on the outskirts but super private and quiet. Highly recommended!

viajo regularmente a Izamal, y he probado varios alojamientos, sin duda casa tamarindos es el mejor, el lugar es muy amplio, muy bonito, la piscina tipo cenote de agua fresca se agradece en ese clima. viajo con mascotas y ellas disfrutan mucho de la naturaleza del lugar.

I truly hope to come back to this place, it was so cool. Beds are comfortable and the place is truly unique. I was worried the jungle sounds would be too loud to sleep but it was great. Pool was amazing. Some tips: Ask for detailed instructions for check in prior to arrival, (show pictures of the house as staff may take you to the wrong one) take screenshots of wifi login info so you can reach the outside world once you arrive to the house (as we had no cell reception, and I had trouble with the lock as it was a new type to me), if the lock is new to you, ask someone to show you how to both lock and unlock the door, bring food and everything you need as it really is out there, be prepared to ask for help in Spanish from onsite staff. We didn’t have trouble with any critters in our rooms or shoes but be careful opening the kitchen drawers as some like to hide in there. Finally, the natural environment is amazing, don’t miss the star gazing on the rooftop!

Militza was quick to respond. Great location to good restaurants around the area. Easy walking to the beach, the Malecon and downtown. Loved the sitting area in front wish the back had chairs but oh well, we made it work.

Es una casita perfecta para la estancia en Bacalar. 만약 여기서 묵으신다면, 대부분 필요한 것들이 갖춰져 있으니 많은 것을 준비해 갈 필요가 없습니다. 조용하고 아늑한 곳입니다! 3박 4일 동안 정말 잘 지내다 돌아왔습니다.

We had a wonderful stay at Eduardo’s place. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and gave us great local tips. The hacienda is tucked away in the jungle — a true retreat, quiet and surrounded by nature. When we first arrived, my wife found the house a bit mysterious due to its older style, which gives it a special atmosphere. But everything turned out to be well-maintained, clean, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The house is spacious, especially the bedrooms, and while there isn’t a large indoor living room, the outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing, eating, and enjoying the surroundings. We didn’t miss a thing. It’s also a great place for families with young children — calm, safe, and lots of room to explore. Having a private cenote right on the property was an absolute highlight. The hacienda is also ideally located for visiting nearby cenotes and stunning Mayan sites like Ek Balam and Hubiku Cenote.

La piscina y todo el resto de la casa estuvo impecable, mi familia y yo la pasamos super bien Martha fue muy accesible con la hora de llegada al poder llegar antes e igualmente a la salida. Eso nos dió oportunidad de disfrutar más del increíble lugar. Si buscan un lugar para estar tranquilos y con la familia está excelente, tiene uno oportunidad de asar carnes y tener una excelente reunión familiar. Las habitaciones están lindísimas, con mucho diseño y cuidados. Las camas, Toallas y sábanas calidad premium, tienen el detalle de darte shampoo y jabón de tocador, líquidos para trastes que ya en pocos en airbnb han dejado de hacerlo, y se agradece muchísimo. Mi hija se divirtió mucho en el brincolín, la casita de madera del jardín, los juegos de mesa fue excelente para convivir. La piscina tiene área para niños así que es súper ideal para niños con supervisión. Tomen en cuenta que si es una noche de calor tal vez si lo sientan.

I hate to share just how much I love this place because I don't want to compete for booking it when I want to go back!! What a peaceful yet connected place - right by an amazing swimming area called Mangrove Park. In town and able to access grocers, cafes, butcher etc. And you WILL want to cook and enjoy the screened in verandah and yard! MAGIC! I already miss Losita and Blossom (the doggy).

We're from USA. This was my first time ever staying in Mexico as an adult and my girlfriends first time staying in Mexico EVER. We are both unfamiliar with the culture and barely know Spanish, and in the small town of Homun that makes things difficult! 😅 All the locals were looking at us as we drove by, people were trying to sell us cenote tours, awkward, but never felt unsafe😊 There is a store right around the corner we were able to walk to, Maria offered us restaurants in town, and the local cenotes were BEAUTIFUL! This house is a perfect location central to multiple ruins like Uxmal and Chichen Itza, and offered a far more cultural and local experience ❤️ Much more meaningful than a fake resort The amenities were great, so many places to sit and relax we did not even use them all! Full kitchen was great, bathroom, etc. Bed was very stiff but I was so tired I didn't care. AC kept the house cool at night. The pool is 2m deep! For adventurous beginners only! Thank you Maria :)

Gineli with Vacasa is awesome. She is extremely responsive and resourceful. The property matches the description of two separate units (one on top of the other) with full size beds in each unit. Please be mindful when you wish to cross from the north side to the south side (at the split) you will need to use the “water ferry”. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed spending much time in it. The pier was nice to walk down and relax on at the end of the day. BRING BUG SPRAY! Holy mosquitoes, which should be expected. Restaurant: North side happy lobster is nearby. They will come and pick you up and/or deliver food free of charge. This property was exactly what we needed for our lovely vacation in Caye Caulker.

The place is absolutely magical!! words can't describe how beautifull it is this place. the condo is completely brand new, with modern amenities and luxurious finishes! BEST PLACE EVER!
