I cannot say enough about how GREAT this place is! It sits on a corner but feels so private. The pictures of the patios do not do them justice! It is BEAUTIFUL! It’s very spacious inside and we felt completely at home. I will definitely want to come back again and again!

Very much like a home away from home! All of the amenities you can imagine are available to you. It’s also conveniently located to all of the attractions and downtown. Far enough to not hear the train at night. The garden and hangout areas were greatly appreciated compared to other Airbnb‘s I’ve stayed in Alpine. It’s also convenient if you have a group, you can each split up and rent different apartments!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Nopal Suite. I was in town for the Spirits of the West Festival and Karen’s place was perfect for me. The apartment is thoughtfully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It has all of the amenities a person could need. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 4 nights and slept great! The space is cozy, quiet, and private; we never saw or heard our hosts. We really loved the shower and laundry machines, they were a lifesaver after spending so much time hiking. 10/10, would definitely stay here again.

Dan and Tana’s property was above and beyond what we were looking to experience for peaceful getaway for our anniversary!! Dan was right on time with his schedule of greeting us when we made it to Terlingua and his walk through the house and things to do while there was priceless!! We will be back!!

3 empty nest couples looking for a unique getaway ran across this far west Texas gem. From the time we saw the house from the highway sitting on the high bluff to starting our accent up the dirt road The Perch was everything we envisioned. Rustic with all the modern amenities. Top takeaways would be the view from the deck, the outdoor shower and Spencer's vinyl collection. A friend once told me you can judge an adventure by how often you think about it...it's just been a week but I think about it often.

Excellent base camp between Midland and Big Bend. We fell in love with Reata Restaurant and we went for dinner all 3 nights of our stay. Highly recommend visiting Big Bend National Park as well as the scenic drive up north 118 through the Davis mountains. We had an amazing trip and a great stay in Alpine

James home is BEAUTIFUL!! Everything you would need he has available for you. His outdoor patio is awesome!! so nice to have coffee and relax and look at the stars. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and small shops. Will definately stay there again when I come back to Marathon

We loved the beautiful country and how peaceful it was. As a rockhound, it was really cool that they let you do some geode hunting on their property which is a huge plus! Definitely would stay again!

Me and my family had an amazing stay. We had never been to the Big Bend area and the house was the best home base. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Janet was an amazing host and the house had everything we needed and more. We traveled with small dogs and the backyard was secure and perfect for them. We also spent hours birdwatching and stargazing. Pure Perfection!

This rental was perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Great place for a reasonable price.

Great stay and location! Only aspect out of place was the pool was unavailable but the hosts refunded a portion back and communicated really well. Would return and stay again!
