Farmhouse Suite is 2 miles from Outlets & hospitals, within walking distance of Kent Trails, parks & downtown Byron Center. The 700 sq ft space is its own seperate unit at the front of our home, with 1 bedrm (queen bed), 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen & a washer/dryer combo. A daybed is available in the living room for those needing space from their companion at night. Built c. 1900, this home was originally owned by one of Byron Center’s earliest doctors! Come experience its vintage charm!

You will have a modern apartment with all the amenities of home including; full bath, full kitchen, bedroom, comfortable living room w/Wi-Fi, & smart tv. Step outside in the morn to hear the rooster crowing & see the sunrise coming up over the field. Or sit in the comfortable chair by the window & watch the cattle graze. 10 minutes from US131 & the city but in a rural area. Host lives in the main home & is available for questions.

The Suite is a cozy place to rest from your travels or stay while you visit family/friends. Away from the bustle of downtown, yet only a 10 minute drive to all the venues in the Grand Rapids downtown area. It’s a small but well stocked suite , self contained space in the front of our home. Tanger Outlet is 1 mile away for convenient shopping. There are a number of restaurants close to choose from. Continental breakfast provided ( plant based) hot/cold cereal, bread, fruit, coffee bar.

Bird's Nest Cozy Farm Getaway

The Birds Nest is an above-the-garage studio apartment with a view of the valley and our working farm. Located at the end of a quiet dirt road, our 36 acres provide a respite for the body and soul with trails and vistas, and engage the mind in sustainable agriculture with a discount on our Farm Tour & Tasting. Our water is from a well. It is tested regularly and is completely safe though it can have a sulfur smell at times. There is an RO filter/faucet in the kitchen for drinking water.

The cabin is at the end of a long wooded drive and is nestled in the trees, but yet is less than a mile from Tanger Outlet Mall and just 5 miles from Metro Health Hospital. Downtown Grand Rapids is a short 12 minute drive, while Holland State Park on Lake Michigan is only a scenic 40 minutes away. **Important to note: we are currently undergoing an exterior landscape renovation to be complete late Spring of 2026.** Welcome to our tiny home! In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home in our backyard. As you can imagine… things did not turn out the way we intended and construction was completed in the fall of 2020! The amenities are not lacking within the space and we know you will feel at home!

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

Our home is located on a beautiful 2.5 acre wooded setting. We have hiking trails around the woods and a beautiful lawn to sit outside and enjoy. Our location can't be beat! We are 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, 20 minutes from Gun Lake Casino, 20 minutes to the airport, 35-40 minutes from Lake Michigan, and 25 minutes away from Yankee Springs Recreation area. The entire lower level is set up as a private space for you to enjoy.
