Ryan did the research. I instantly felt at home. A haven of coziness. He provided everything, so much more then other affordable Airbnb's. He was very considerate when providing amenity. Gourmet coffee, spices, washer/dryer, toiletries and more. Ryan deserves a big fat 'A'. Thanks for a great stay and being the best Airbnb I've ever been to.

Like myself, I'm sure many people book this for the history and legacy of Yogi Berra and the New York Yankees but the hosts, Mary and Jay are equally important. They are the most wonderful, down-to-earth people. Mary is Yogi's niece so hearing stories about Uncle Yogi was amazing! The house is immaculate and welcoming with Yogi memorabilia. Mary and Jay drove us around the neighborhood on their golf cart to see where Yogi played ball and the wonderful neighborhood called The Hill. As we drove around, folks in their front yards waved hello to Mary. It was a step back in time where neighbors all know and look out for each other. It is a wonderful area with Italian bakeries and restaurants, all within walking distance of the house. Breakfast was ready for us in the mornings (Jay makes a mean breakfast). Even if you're not a Yogi and Yankees fan, you should consider staying here because of the location and the wonderful hosts.

We only stayed one night, but this was an amazing find. We were nothing but thrilled with our stay, the place is exactly as described and has such a nice layout. If we need to stay in St. Louis in the future, we will definitely consider seeing if one of the rooms at this BnB are available.

Peaceful stop on a cross country trip for work. We were able to park our 16 foot box truck across from the barn. Martha was proactive in giving directions to get inside, as we were arriving later than initially planned. She had breakfast in the refrigerator for us, and even accomadated my vegan coworker. We were unfortunately unable to meet her, but did meet her son, daughter in law and husband. They were great and her husband showed us around the farm, and we got to see the baby cows. They were the cutest. She also has a dog named Max who greeter me in the morning with a toy. The airbnb is very private and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

TL;DR: we had a great stay, even if we brought the rain with us. We booked Larry’s pink room for a quick mother-daughter weekend adventure, and it was the perfect fit for us. Strong marks for convenience, price, and comfort (just make sure you can parallel park, that’s 90% of your options in STL). The pink room has a lovely firm mattress (Queen) and good closet space. There’s a small couch by the window which was great for reading when we needed a break from exploring the city. Larry keeps a small fridge in the room with some complementary beverages, plus a triple USB port for easy charging of your devices. Lots of windows if you’re luckier than we were and actually see the sun on your visit. The pink room uses a shared bathroom, which was perfectly fine for us. Larry had lots of great suggestions for local activities/food, and breakfast helped us fuel up for our day! Day one was a full English style breakfast, day two was a lovely veggie frittata and waffles! Would stay again!

Vikki is a fabulous Hostess! She's friendly, helpful and I felt very comfortable the minute I stepped into her home. If I'm in the Peoria area again, I would absolutely try to stay with her!! Beautiful, large home and this stay I had my own bathroom! Loved it!! Oh, can't forget to mention Bernice and Kitty! :)

Lovely vacation stay! The restoration of the church made this such a unique and fun experience. Excellent hosts.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick getaway and reserved a two night stay at Blessings. When we booked we knew nothing about Jacksonville and only after I started looking into Blessings MORE did I realize it's an award-winning Bed and Breakfast! Needless to say, the award they received is justified. The home is beautiful inside and out. Their large front porch is my favorite spot. The Innkeeper Gwenn made us feel at home from the moment we stepped inside. Lovely conversation and hospitality. Gwenn told us she's always wanted to be an Innkeeper and you can tell by the way she keeps her home that it's a passion of hers. My favorite meal of our stay was our first breakfast: poached pears with raspberry glaze, coffee, orange juice, fresh waffles with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream and syrup all next to a big window at a table for two with china and fancy glasses. Decadent? Yes. But isn't a getaway supposed to be? The Tranquility room itself is beautiful. It has a comforting air that let's you know you can put your feet up and relax. The clawed bathtub was glorious. There were multiple robes, extra towels, bath salts and other little details (sewing kit?! fake fireplace that flickers throughout the night?!) that we kept finding around the room. And if that isn't enough, Gwenn offered us milk and cookies at bedtime within 30 minutes of meeting us. Um, yes please. My own mother didn't give me milk and cookies at bedtime! So if you're looking to be treated like you've come home, Gwenn delivers. We'll be back!

Rachelle was amazing! She's friendly, helpful and makes an amazing breakfast! The home is clean and I loved the history of the home she shared with us. Rachelle made us feel comfortable and like we'd been friends forever!

Michael has a quirky, dry and fun sense of humor which immediately puts you at ease. He met us just as we drove up and helped with the luggage which was a huge help since we were on the 2nd floor with no available elevator. This place is the perfect location if you want to be in the center of the town. Although we were warned about the train passing through the town, we enjoyed the sound of the train and its horn. Though we forgot to eat (or take) the homemade bread left for us, Michael assured us it was delicious.

Tammy was a wonderful host. Her home was beautiful and spotless. We had a great time enjoying the countryside and visiting the various covered bridges in the area. Tammy had great recommendations for where to eat in the area and her breakfasts were delicious. She even sent home muffins for our kids which was so sweet of her.

We enjoyed our stay at Old Vine Bed &Breakfast! Location was great, well within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great hosts! Went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!

Honestly this place and the hosts are superb. The house is also a designated museum and you will see why when you stay. Everything is perfect. Jim is a great host and makes you feel comfortable immediately you set for inside. Sandy is also great and compliments Jim's style beautifully. Just stay there.

This was the second stay for my husband and I. It has easily made the list of one of our local staycation spots. It’s no fuss, simple, and super cute. Evelyn is a great host and easy to communicate with.

We are a group of 10 sisters/cousins. For 20+ years we have been staying at B&Bs as a group for 4 days once every year. Margaret and Kevin's B&B (Whispering Woods) is undoubtedly the NICEST B&B we have encountered. Margaret and Kevin are extremely accommodating, welcoming, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The home is lovely, the beds are very comfortable, there was plenty of room for our group to gather and visit, play games or craft. We are hoping to make a return trip next year when the weather is warmer in order to enjoy the pool, patio and beautiful setting. We give this B&B A++++++ Thank you again Margaret and Kevin we had a FAB-ulous time :)

We had a great, short get away to enjoy just the two of us for my wife’s birthday (doesn’t happen often with 3 young kids). We loved the setup, old architecture, view and coziness. We will absolutely stay at the Hermannhof Inn again.

I enjoyed my stay with Ann and Joe. They were very friendly and accommodating hosts. My bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing. The private bathroom was very clean and roomy to allow me a nice space to get ready for the day in addition to my bedroom. They provided good recommendations for local parks for walking and restaurants for eating. I enjoyed visiting with them and viewing their beautiful yard!

This experience at the Great House was amazing! We enjoyed it thoroughly, and we would recommend it to everyone.

Our stay was great! We were only able to be there for a short while but they were very hospitable and the entire place was very cute and cozy. We also LOVED, Leo, the little orange cat with no tail <3

Linda’s home was a beautiful historical home with more of a Bed and Breakfast feel to it. We were able to explore each room in the home and even played some of the instruments that were left out.. The continental breakfast was a nice touch in the morning with coffee and tea available at any time including local pastries. At breakfast we met other travelers that stayed at the home. Linda was always responsive with our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful and historical property that felt like a home away from home. Linda was the perfect host. Kind and responsive and always available with help and advice on where to eat and what to do in Galesburg. This is going to be my place to stay in Galesburg.
