We rented "The Point" and it was perfect for our needs. The lake is only steps away!! The views of the sunrise, sunset and the stars were beautiful. We only stayed for a long weekend and we were wishing we had planned for an entire week. If you need a place to unwind and regroup, and you like a rustic feel...this is the place.

It had everything I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Anne Marie even had a fire going in the fireplace for my arrival. Even though this spot would be ideal in the summer because it's right on the lake, I found it to be very beautiful and comfortable in the dead of winter. It was plenty warm, and easy to get in and out. I couldn't be happier with both the home and the host.

Amazing rustic cabin/cottage right on Lake Champlain. Super clean, kitchen stocked extremely well, plenty of towels and perfect private location. Great communication with Ben. Josh the PM is super helpful when needed. Nice dock out to water with ladder, kayaks, and row boat. Great screened porch for dining and lounging bug free. Outside deck overlooking lake is tree shaded and the perfect spot to relax with a drink of choice. Fire pit is perfectly set up. Amazing place and stay and would stay again for sure. Plus just 19 minutes to Burlington yet totally in a private, wooded, lake front oasis. 👍👍👍

5 friends (2 couples and a single) were very comfortable in this beautiful place! We cooked in a well equipped kitchen, had an outdoor fire several nights and a short drive to all the things we wanted to do. The entrance down a slope was a challenge for our oldest friend. It would have been better if we arrived during the day because we needed our phone lanterns to see until their motion sensor lights kicked on as we got closer. We stayed a week and saw what we came for... changing leaves (we're from Florida), and no hurricanes (we're from Tampa area where Milton went through during our stay). Also, fun Burlington and bike rides and hikes... all in all a great trip!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the camp. It was such a beautiful, peaceful, and idyllic setting where we could walk, hike, enjoy the sunsets and fire pit, and relax on the the screened in porch. It was a great base for a couple of day trips as well short drives to St. Albans and the Burlington area for dining. Everything was very well done and as advertised.

This is the Adirondack charm, but with much clear beds and kitchen ware. All you need. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s family cabin. Nice layout for a larger group, beautiful views, secluded cabin.

Our stay was amazing! We were moving our daughter into her dorm at UVM and were in Burlington for a week. We decided to stay here rather than a hotel near campus. It was the best decision ever. Jack and Robin’s cottage was the perfect place to prepare for dorm move-in. We were able to get out and explore the area. The sunrises over Lake Champlain were beautiful while we drank our morning coffee. Walks on the causeway were great for watching sunsets. 10/10 will stay here again when we visit our daughter at UVM. Go Catamounts!

The cottage was so lovely, the setting was peaceful and beautiful. It made us feel at home with all the special touches. John our host was superb. Just an amazing place 😊🥰

Being right on the water was amazing! Small space, but a good bed and it looks like the bathroom was recently redone. The outdoor shower was nice as well. Be sure to bring water shoes since the water access is both slippery and has shells. We’ll be back!

Lovely home and would 100% visit again. The porch sitting over Lake Champlain is one of a kind - we saw many of the surrounding properties from the water during our time in Essex and I don’t think there’s another porch in town with that type of water view - can’t beat it! We spent 10 days in late August with our 3 yr old daughter and some grandparents in/out over the course of the visit. The home was perfect for our getaway. The hosts, Lisa and John were flexible and welcoming. The space had everything we needed for our stay - kitchen was great and we cooked many meals at home. The open kitchen/dining/living floor plan is perfect for spending time together and so cozy… all alongside an unbeatable view.

James is a wonderful and knowledgable host who is willing to do whatever is needed to improve guest experience. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or requests and was very courteous and friendly. As other guests have mentioned, he offered to go out and pick up some food for me when I first arrived. I was fortunate to have a few conversations with James about Essex and the history of his AirBnB during my stay, and I really appreciated how informative and kind he is to guests.

This is such a beautiful property, and the hosts are amazing. They were super friendly and helpful, and they shared a lot of local insight. The house is clean and quiet, and the view is phenomenal. We paddled on Lake Champlain right from the back yard and enjoyed amazing sunsets most every night. This is our second visit, and we hope to come back again. It's a wonderful space!

The comfy, cozy, lakeside cottage was a treat! The cleanliness was noted. Really appreciated the washer and dryer. Being on the lake with a western view was special. Beachcombing for seaglass was a lot of fun. Trips to Stowe and surrounds were easy with our GPS. There was evidence of a number of innovations such as driftwood fixtures, cool stairway to the beach, etc. (beach is all stones, BTW). Nancy and Dave were there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around the place well. They made us feel very comfortable. We recommend this home highly.

We had a great time at Liz's house. The location is excellent - wonderful view of Lake Champlain, access to small beach, and so close to the bike trail. The neighborhood was beautiful and welcoming. The house met my expectations in other ways as well - the pictures are an accurate representation of the house. Liz was great to communicate with and very responsive. For example, upon check-in, I noted that there was no gas in the grill. While Liz offered to drop off a tank, I volunteered to grab a tank at the local hardware store (5 minutes away - next to a great grocery store), and she reimbursed me immediately. It was a little hiccup that we took care of quickly and in a friendly way. Would definitely stay at this house again. Thanks Liz!

On our last day we saw a spectacular sunset which was indicative of our whole stay. The star was of course the wonderful setting on the lake. It was enhanced by how tastefully the house was renovated, decorated and fully supplied with everything we needed. It truely exceeded our expectations and made for a memorable experience in the beautiful state of Vermont.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this beautiful property! We visited over the Easter Holiday and opted to stay in and cook instead of going out,just to enjoy the beautiful home over looking Lake Champlain! We attended Mass at St. Ann's in Milton, a very welcoming, beautiful church. The hot tub on the third floor balcony was amazing!! The master bedroom had huge walk in closets to stay organized during our trip. It is peaceful, relaxing home! A nice area to take a walk or ride a bike. This is a very clean, well equipped property. The host was very responsive and friendly! Milton has a very nice locally owned grocery store, Georgia Market, everything you could need was available at this family owned store, it felt great to support the local economy! We will definitely be back! Thank you Errin!

I was looking for a place that felt like “home away from home” since we were meeting our daughter and son-in-law for a New England fall weekend. This place absolutely met those expectations. We were able to prepare a meal together and share it at a lovely table in front of a fire. These are the type of things that are important to me, and this definitely felt like home. There is no higher compliment that I can give. The owners were super responsive. I would come back, for sure, and would recommend this beautiful lake front cabin.

Place is clean and modern. View is amazing. Bruce and Virginia are great to work with. Only drawback is the close proximity of the road. Not comparing value to only Vermont so possibly unfair but when compared to other places in the US as well as multiple other countries it could be a better value. We enjoyed our stay.

Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!

Modern, comfortable, newly built house right on the bay. We really enjoyed the balconies and the lovely view out the back. Owner was very communicative.

We had a wonderful long weekend on Mallet’s Bay! The house was amazing with tons of amenities, private beach, large kitchen. Plenty of room for the five of us. Brian was an exceptional host and gave great local recommendations! All in all we had an incredible stay!
