We have just returned from a week at The Piggery and can honestly say it was the best UK holiday we have ever had. The Piggery has everything you need and we felt at home straight away. The location is wonderful. If you like hiking, you will love this place. We walked for miles and miles and still found different routes each day. The mountain you see in the distance is walkable but a hard climb. The views are worth it though! I would recommend downloading Kamoot and creating routes to explore. You won’t get lost and everywhere is dog friendly. The Chainbridge hotel was a perfect spot to grab a beer and a pinot blush after a long relaxing walk and then it’s a 2 min stroll to your waiting hot tub! Honestly can’t rave about this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending our families and friends to stay.

I've always been a bit nervous about doing an Air BnB but I shouldn't have worried. Communication was great. I had some questions about the home, got rub and local area and I always got a speedy response. The hot tub was a major plus. Really enhanced our stay and it was a huge hit. The weather certainly helped and there was everything we needed in the home if not more! I would potentially return here again. Thank you!

A perfect family cottage and photos don't do it justice, it was really really nice!! Perfect location with fantastic views it doesn't feel like you're 15 minutes away from the madness of Blackpool. We'll return in the future 100%.

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. The location of this cottage was beautiful and we had a very chilled out stay. The views over the estuary were amazing looking out from the hot tub. It was very quiet and lovely to watch the birds. Comms were very good including recommendations of the best route and a map of the cottage. It was very clean and the welcome hamper was a nice touch. We also loved the TV with a great selection of things to watch. The kitchen had everything you could need and it was easy to cook meals in there. We would recommend Wyre Pizza and Kebab house for a local takeaway - they were quick to deliver and the food was tasty. The only thing I missed was an extra towel for my hair otherwise it was the perfect relaxation mini break. Thank you for a lovely stay ☺️

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Last minute decision to travel but Emma was great & knowing we wouldn’t be checking in until late went out of her way to call over to & put on the outside light so we could locate the cottage easier. Lovely touch providing milk, bread & a couple of snacks as was able to pop kettle on upon arrival. Clear list of instructions left for use of television, heating, shower etc & contact details should anything go wrong. Cottage was immaculate & exactly as described - very peaceful street. Would definitely recommend as in ideal location for so many areas of the Wirral or crossing the water into Liverpool itself. Thank you Emma

We had a fabulous few days at Garth Mill. Dan messaged to give us location/check in details & we were also offered an early check in which was perfect. The house is even better than described - pristine and decorated with immaculate taste. The only think I feel would improve it is a larger fridge - but that’s a minor quibble. There is so much history to the house and it is great to see all the old photos dotted about. Dan checked to see we had arrived safely and to make sure we knew he was available for any questions. Would highly recommend!

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Very clean, cosy and quirky, with loads of thoughtful touches. Well equipped kitchen, lovely welcome hamper, even a tin of biscuits for the dog. We wanted a coastal location with walks from the door, with places to eat and drink nearby, and we got just that. It was also beautifully quiet at night so we slept like logs. Loads to explore nearby by car, train and ferry. Totally recommend a New Brighton break! Thanks Kate. We had a fabulous time. :-)

Lovely Airbnb in Port Sunlight which made for a great base while visiting family nearby. The beds were comfortable and a travel cot was provided for our toddler which was appreciated. The kitchen is very bare so if you’re planning to cook you’ll need to stock up as well as bring your own shampoo/body wash and laundry detergents if using the washer. We didn’t have a car which wasn’t an issue with the train station a short walk away. Highly recommend and would happily stay again when we are next in Liverpool.

From a question before we booked to the morning we pulled away to come home the whole experience was superb. Deborah was super attentive from start to finish but totally respected our privacy. The quality of the finish and detail on the actual building cannot be praised highly enough, the facilities, fittings are to the same exceptionally high standard. Spotlessly clean, modern & everything you need for some time away. The silence, but for the birds singing was beautiful, you get way more for your money than you realise. If you are looking then stop and book, you wont be disappointed 👌

Gary’s place was immaculate and very comfortable. It would be hard to imagine a better location for visiting Parkgate. Gary responded quickly to questions. We had a great stay there and would definitely choose it again next time we’re in the area.

A lovely and very comfortable little barn with great hosts. Excellent communication and flexibility: We booked on the day of arrival and Kim very quickly replied offering us early arrival should we wish. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful clean and private. Chris is an amazing host and this is a little gem for anyone looking for a stop over for work or a little hidey-hole tucked away in the middle of suburbia with a gorgeous suntrap garden hidden away at the end. Highly recommend!

This cottage was a joy to stay in and offered a relaxing, private and peaceful space during a hectic few days. Daniel was incredibly pleasant to communicate with and offered local knowledge and recommendations as well as some much appreciated special touches. We had a fabulous stay very comfort in lovely surroundings. Very clean and tidy. Decor was of a high standard. Beds comfortable. Parking right outside, very private area. Access to the property is by key safe very quick and easy. Would definitely recommend.

This is the second time I have booked Ann & Daves place, it is an excellent find. I booked this place for my partner Bradley, who was working away from home for over a week. The hosts were very quick when answering any queries I had, they sent clear instructions on how to find the Airbnb and how to access it, it was easy to find and check in. Plenty of parking for our pickup truck, right outside which is very handy. The Airbnb was really nice, lots of space, very well decorated and furnished, with all amenities needed when staying away from home. The location was quiet, perfect when working long days and you want a good night rest. Would highly recommend. Thank you for hosting Brad 🙃

just got back from a lovely weekend in Catherine's cosy cottage had a wonderful weekend the cottage was perfect for all our needs nice and clean and excellent location for the village Catherine explained everything that we needed to know and gave us some useful information on the area. croston is also a lovely village with extremely friendly people made our stay even nicer with locals so welcoming. Had lovely breakfast in the sports bar and a great meal in the indian restaurant but there is plenty of places to eat/drink it was difficult to choose great little break away thankyou Catherine.

The accommodation is lovely. As the “Nags Head” is literally just round the corner if you choose not to cook, evening or breakfast they are very accommodating. We used this place for the grand national. Getting an Uber there was easy. Trying to get one back proved more difficult. But the stay there was extremely comfortable 💖
