There is no beach access from the property but we're just a short walk to the Alders Beach which offers long stretches of sand for walking, swimming and exploring tidal pools. We are family friendly, and we have all the kitchen utensils/cooking tools to make your stay comfortable. The Cumberland Coach house has air conditioning for those warm summer days. Located in the heart of Cumberland. It is a 3 minute walk to the main street where all the restaurants and the brewery is located. The best mountain biking trails are a 2 minute bike ride away!

Close to Hornby Island, Qualicum, Mount Washington; nearby village of Bowser has a grocery, coffee shop and liquor store. Located between Courtenay & Parksville; we are 15 minutes to Denman Island Ferry, 20 minutes to Qualicum Beach & 2.5 hours from Tofino. We also offer the use of two pelican kayaks for rental.

Please note that the suite is in the lower part of our house and is only accessible by a steep set of stairs. We ask that you restrict your noise between the hours of 10pm and 7am. This charming one bedroom semi-detached cottage has the airy feel of a Mediterrean villa with 15 ft. ceilings, a wall of french doors opening onto it's oceanfront deck, tile bathroom with walk-in shower and spacious living/kitchen area. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. A comfy queen sized sleeper sofa bed provides sleeping for extra guests. A pet is only allowed if pre-approved.
