Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". My place is a spacious one bedroom flat on the ground floor, in a coastal town just under 40’ minutes from Edinburgh city centre by train or 45 minutes by bus. Ideal for those who enjoy walking coastal routes as the town has breathtaking views of the forth bridges. The town also has many restaurants, pubs, take away shops and supermarkets. My flat is ideal for those with a car exploring Scotland outside of the capital city or for those who like to mix the city life with the quiet countryside.

The Wee Glasshouse

The Wee Glasshouse is a modern, studio apartment in the picturesque coastal location of Dalgety Bay. It’s designed to enjoy breathtaking views of the bridges and is situated on the Fife Coastal Path with its many beaches and woodlands. The Wee Glasshouse has features similar to our own house which was filmed for More 4’s ‘Building The Dream’. TV Presenter Charlie Luxton visited several times to record its progress and was aired in Jan 2017. In 2020 it featured in Scotland’s Home of the Year.

Log Cabin in Auchtertool.

The Log Cabin is situated in 3 acres of garden, shared only with our own house. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden. The Cabin sleeps five people and we have a travel cot if required. There is one large bedroom with two kingsize and one single beds. The Cabin does not have TV or wifi, however it does have an excellent 4G signal. We welcome well behaved pets, up to a maximum of two small dogs or one large dog, even a cat. We ask guests who bring pets to vacuum before they leave.

Set in 3 acres of gardens and with beautiful views of the valley, Shiel House is the perfect retreat. This bespoke house was built by our family to provide an escape from the city and it has been furnished to provide a comfortable home from home. It would suit solo adventurers, couples, families (including with kids), and groups. Centrally located, and only an hour's drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and St Andrews, it is the ideal base for golfers, walkers and visitors to Scotland.

Enjoy time out in the spacious Living room, with its large flat-screen TV, or out in the Garden on the patio for some Alfresco dining.

Modern seaside flat just a 25 minute train or car journey to central Edinburgh. Lovely coastal walks with breathtaking views. Sunsets are a must with a bottle of wine. Just a 20 minute drive to the airport or a direct train. Great cycle networks and walks directly in front of the flat as we are actually on the famous Fife Coastal Path. Excellent central location to explore Scotland with the mountains, St. Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow all less than an hour from your doorstep.

This self contained holiday accommodation is perfectly situated for exploring Scotland’s picturesque coastline, with the Coastal Path just on the doorstep and quick walk to the beach. Excellent links to Edinburgh, and St. Andrews by bus, having the bus stop 8 mins away. Ideal for couples, familes or friends, benefitting from independent access to the property.

The Studio at Shoreland

A peaceful studio in North Queensferry with magnificent views onto the UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge. Only a short steep walk uphill to the train station to Edinburgh and ON the Fife Coastal walking path. Nestled between the three Forth bridges you have the option of train, car or walking across to South Queensferry. Deep Sea World, The Wee Restaurant fine dining, Rankin's Cafe and the small Lighthouse Museum only a short walk away and there is a small shop near the station.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
