The Water Street Lodge is a beautiful space with a stunning view of the Mississippi River. Sitting in the sauna while enjoying the calmness of the partially frozen river in winter was refreshing. The two balconies were nice as well as the porch. The kitchen area was spacious and the coffee area was well stocked with coffee and mugs. Thank you Laura for a wonderful vacation experience.

Our stay was very well organized and had easy directions to follow. We really enjoyed the quiet cabin/lake weekend and will possibly be looking to return in the future, during a warmer month. Darrel was our host and he was very kind and welcoming. Overall a very nice stay.

Very responsive hosts. We did a same night check in and they were accommodating for being last minute. We celebrated our anniversary and they even left us a little surprise.

Extremely pleased with our stay and really enjoyed being right on the water. Everyone was very responsive and had there been a need for anything I know we would have been accommodated immediately. Would recommend this stay to others and if back in the area, looking forward to spending time at millennium! Will point out though we didn’t care, other Airbnbs they offer are all in the same marina and you are within 50 yards of others. We didn’t have an issue with it but you’re not completely secluded per se but that shouldn’t deter you from this beautiful stay.

Great host, responsive , friendly! Place was just what we wanted, secluded , spacious and clean. Fire pit and jacuzzi made it for nice and relaxing nights. Plenty to do within half hour drive on either IA or WI side. Great place for big groups and families.

The property and cabin were great. Waking up early and watching the wildlife was a highlight. There were so many turkeys! Everything was clean and well appointed. take extra trash bags with you. We had 4 adults and 2 kids for our stay. There was so much room! The hot tub was hot, a few of the jets didn't work, but that didn't bother us. We were in two front wheel cars and didn't have any trouble on the dirt road or getting up the hill. During the winter months, I would only take a 4 wheel drive through there. The swimming pond looked really cool, unfortunately that's not an option during March. I would recommend this cabin for small or large groups.

myself and a group of friends booked this place for a bike race starting in elkader. it was a delight to be a super short ride from the start line, and the hot tub hit the spot when we got home! the home itself is a funky conversion from a barn (i believe) with a few delightful semi-outdoor hangout spaces. we slept six adults and could have easily accommodated another two or three.

Cute cabin and beautiful view, close to hiking! Extra bonus of doggy treats in the freezer. Super quiet and secluded. Wonderful firepit outside with computable chairs. Beds cozy. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook. Bathroom very clean! We shared the kitchen with a lot of lady bugs but it’s that time of year so we understood. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

A delightful retreat. A frames have a special charm and this one definitely stands above the rest. Excellent views & easy to operate gas stove made for cozy couch and reading time. This felt like a well loved home instead of a stale guest residence run by a rental agency, which always makes the experience more personalized. Kent was very communicative and provided plenty of detail about the space and its quirks. Would return again.

The view from Kyle’s place is beautiful. It’s quiet and peaceful. Danielle was quick to respond and fix a WiFi issue after storms went through. Very response, very clean, great people.

We had a fantastic stay. The instructions for everything were clear and we had no issues. The cabin is cozy and was perfect for our trip. We had kids (4, 6 and 7) who loved the trains going by and would glue themselves to the window each time. We’d absolutely stay again.

Beth and her husband Bruce are so wonderful! They accommodated every special need we had. The place was emasculate and had everything we realized we forgot to pack! The people we stayed with were in awe of the views of the place and how clean everything was. We are repeat visitors and plan on staying again next year!!

Ryan's place had everything we needed and was in a great location to the Great River Road and Yellow River State Forest. It was nice and quiet.

We stayed here for a weekend in town from Colorado and just loved the peace and beauty of the place. Angie was incredible, very proactive and communicative- absolutely flawless end to end.

This place was better than the pictures. It was clean and had all the things necessary for cooking inside and on a grill. There was a crockpot and a variety of pots, pans and cooking utensils. There were plenty of shower towels, hand towels and washcloths. Also there was enough toilet paper for our stay. The bedsheets were made very well and beds and pillows were better than the average rental. I recommend a golf cart rental to get around, especially if you have children. We did bring bikes, but there are hills and larger gravel, so biking wasn't the best means to get around. We had a great trip and would recommend this place!

When you’re ready to leave it all behind, this is truly the place for you! It’s rare to find such secluded beauty with all the creature comforts of home. Deborah makes sure that not a single detail is overlooked so you can totally unwind. Also lovely to take morning walks around the ponds, sit outdoors with friends, and at night, take in the amazing sky! Added bonus (for our group, anyway :) ) were two of the friendliest furry friends you’ll ever meet: Bailey the dog and Fluffy the kitty! Nearby Decorah is only 20 minutes away for great eateries and shopping. Truly a gem—can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay at this riverside cabin! The location was absolutely perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful views. It was exactly what we were looking for on our guys fishing trip. The cabin was conveniently located near some excellent fishing streams, which made our outings super easy and enjoyable. The host was incredibly helpful and informative from start to finish, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature!

Very peaceful and location was great! Very cute cabin with everything you could need and more. Only downfall and this is minor is gps took us to wrong location twice. Stopped to ask a couple different locals and they said was very common. When found the cabin was super easy to get to compared to what gps said. Maybe user error but not hosts fault. Would love to stay again!
