This charming suite is on the 2nd floor of our 400sqm private house with plenty of soul, tradition, and history. The house was originally built in 1896 and keeps the main structure since 1936. More than an accommodation our guests book an experience in a particularly unique, personal, and authentic way. We are a family of cultural mixes and we love the concept of sharing, receiving, and taking care of our guests as new friends. We’re located in the Art District, close to the historical center.

IMPORTANT: roadworks elsewhere can occasionally cause additional traffic to pass the flat during peak times until September, but it is lovely and quiet here during the night. Cathedral, castle or Oriental museum? Durham’s world heritage sites are just a short drive or bus ride away. Kitchenette, washer/drier, fast wi-fi, Netflix etc, car parking. Close to walks through woodland (5 minutes away), a trip into Durham (4 miles) or Newcastle (20 miles). Pets welcome. Supermarket 5 mins walk away.

Maple House Lodge is a 1st floor guest annex, accessed via an external staircase. Located in a quiet location on the edge of the village, with rural views and comprising an open plan sitting/dining area, with TV and a well equipped kitchen with hob, oven, sink, fridge, and cooking utensils for our self catering guests. Comfortable studio apartment for two. In great location a pleasant 10 minute walk, via the riverside from the historic city centre, with its many attractions and numerous options for shopping and entertainment. Could accommodate baby if necessary and I will provide travel cot and high chair if required at no extra cost. However, guests must provide own bedding and other requirements for baby feeding etc.

Centered in the heart of Marlboro wine country, this space is right in the middle of several local wineries, breweries, farms, restaurants, and is just a short drive to the Shawangunk Mountains.
