The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

The outdoor firepit & bbq makes it the perfect spot to relax with platypus sighting & occasional Tree Kangaroo visit. Property has direct access to the river for a lazy arvo.

Lakeside Loft

The Lakeside Loft is the ultimate relaxing getaway. It is a luxury pole home, nestled in the tree tops. It boasts three levels all with breath taking panoramic views of the Lake. The back yard has direct access to the lake for water sports for most of the year. We have a canoe and kayak for guest use. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. The Winston is a beautiful old church in the retro town of Innisfail which we have been renovating for about a year. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The area has many attractions close by Paronella Park, Etty Bay where you will see cassowaries walking along the beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine falls, the Mamu canopy walk, white water rafting in Tully and Mission beach just to name a few
