Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Spring Green River Pines

Spend a few days in the beautiful countryside. A private entrance to the lower level of home (completely separate from our home) that includes a central room, 2 bedrooms with kitchenette, & 1 lg bath. WiFi >500 Mbps speed. Smart 60" TV, Bluetooth Airplay/stream compatible. Parking on sight. Great location 5 min from beautiful downtown Spring Green. Close to APT, Taliesin/Frank Lloyd Wrights Home/School, House on the Rock, WI River, Gov. Dodge State Park and 1/2 hr to Devils Lake State Park.

All Season fun! A place to get out in the fresh air, sit by the campfire, & gaze at the stars. Fish the many TROUT streams nearby. Hike, bike, and horseback trails at Ash Creek Forest. WI River-4 miles away. Wild Hills Winery - right next door! Richland Center offers a Drive-in, Pine River Trails & Kayaking, beautiful parks, aquatic center, 18 hole disc golf course, books, coffee shop. Cool quiet country cabin on boulders and 120 acres

Funky, tidy 23 year old country cabin on 120 acres of farmland & woods in a private, quiet rural setting. It's cozy, 950 sq ft, built with stone and wood. Open concept with a two story fireplace, porch fireplace, firepit, and open loft for sleeping (1 bed), with spiral stairs, lots of windows, walnut floors and trim, oak beams and pine kitchen tops. Shower is big and open, with doors opening to a back deck for outdoor showering. Beautiful covered porch overlooking rolling meadows and woods.

The House in the Valley-Hot Tub, Sauna & Game Room

Bring the whole family to this beautiful house in the middle of nature. The house is surrounded by a forest, which contains a rock formation great for a hike. The house has a lot of room and filled with activities. Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dinning room and a gorgeous living room. The basement contains a bar area with a pool table, Foosball table, ping pong table, sauna and an outdoor hot tub. A bonfire area is located in the back of the house, burning wood included.

Two Private Floors in Secluded Home

Exclusive use of top 2 floors of home in a scenic location. Host will reside solely in basement apartment during your stay. Location is perfect as a base for exploration. 5 minutes from Governor Dodge State Park. 8 minutes to The House On The Rock. Also close to Taliesin, American Players Theater, Spring Green and Mineral Point. Or, you can just get away from it all by enjoying this scenic location at the end of a long private driveway. If you enjoy solitude, this is the place for you!

The Driftless Escape! Modern, large cabin/57 acres

Nested in between 2 valleys is this abundant log cabin next to a stream. WI river: fishing, tubing, canoeing, water sports 10 min away. Lakeside Cabin

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of this charming studio cabin. With the lake right in the back yard you can go fishing right from the dock. Or take a little trip in one of the boats. There's a paddle boat, a canoe and a kayak. Some life jackets are available but you might want to bring your own. There's a fire pit available. The cabin has a queen bed and two double fold out couches. There is a queen fold out on the screened porch.

River Front Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, newly remodeled, home right on the Wisconsin River. You are just steps from the water. Located a short walk from a public boat landing, public land and just off of the ATV/UTV trail and snowmobile trails. No matter the season, you will see an abundance of wildlife, including many bald eagles that nest just across the water. Even though this is on the water, there is not direct access, and swimming is not advised due to river currants.

Welcome to Driftless Chalet! The wonders of the Driftless Area lie just outside your window. Located on 5 wooded acres just past Spring Green, make this cozy cabin (with fast wifi, heat and A/C!) your HQ as you explore American Players Theater, House on the Rock, Taliesin, state parks, the WI River, wineries and more. Watch for deer and birds while sipping coffee on the porch, roast marshmallows over the campfire, bust out the board games and make lifelong memories!

Our Wild River Lodge is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath lodge with a spacious patio overlooking the beautiful Wisconsin River. Located on 11 acres of secluded woods with 350 feet of shoreline, you can catch fish right from our shore. This is a perfect retreat for nature lovers! Located in the heart of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin, our lodge is 3.5 hours from Chicago, 4 hours from Minneapolis and 2.5 hours from Milwaukee. There's room for everyone by the river!
